Hi Nev,
Hope you are well enough soon, to keep on track with those uncouplers. Were the Besser blocks the foundations for the new uncoupler factory?

(For those not in the know, Besser is a brand of cement block in Australia)

regards
Kimball

Uncoupler 2007 Year book.

Dear Marklinists, today we bring to you the 2007 Hand Uncoupler year Book.
Inside there is a coupon to get your fee Users-net Hand uncoupler. this coupon must be returnerd to DD no later than 1 October 2007. Any coupons returned after this date will not be allowed and will not receive the special hand Uncoupler.
Unfortunately it is only available in HO Gauge as the design team could not get a majority decision for the design of the Z and 1 Gauge uncouplers..

We apologise for the lateness of the Yearbook but we had to redesign the cover.

BIG SURPRISE

When I arrived in the office this morning, after some days travelling, a mysterious parcel was on my desk.

I had to check it very carefully before opening, as you never know what's in the mail these days.

As I carefully unwrapped it, it was very well packed, some strange things appeared. What is this?
A roll of orange 105 degrees Celcius and 0,75 square millimeters wire (!) and a Wooden Hand Uncoupler!

I was very surprised and happy. What a present!
This weekend will be perfect.

Some photos and an unauthorised test report will be issued as soon as I recover from the great shock.
Best regards Svein, Norway

Maybe I have to convert to the illegal uncouplers league?
How to check the the checkers are checked properly in and not checked in by a unchecked fake clan?

Note to self: Remember tonights prayer:

O dear God; please help me to keep my big mouth shut until I know what I am talking about;
when I know about secrets which should remain secrets, and when nobody wants to listen.
O dear God; please listen to me this time, I've asked you this many times in lots of prayers;
but You never responded, just like another worshiped God I know of, called Märklin Service Center.

P.S. O dear God, do you by any chance know of this "Märklin Service Center"?
And dear God, do you even have a model layout?
And do you use the same heaven as "Märklin Service Center"?

A new but still secret tool included in the business from U Know Who. Watch out for the Hand Coupler - the orange/yellow thing stashed away on top of the picture named CONNECT. How it works is yet to be defined. Ongoing discussions probably in code between Purellum and Intruder take place only for the very sharp minds to interpret.

Damn, your brain is too sharp, (D)effective detective Benny. wink

We tried to keep our co-operation a secret until the day it was supposed to be revealed to the public.

As your super-brain must have figured out by now, the coupling buisines is being divided in
"Wooden Hand Connectors" and "Wooden Hand Uncouplers"; thus forcing the users to have one of each [:p]

When the worlds entire population have un-coupled their hands, using FREE Wooden Hand Uncouplers;
the price on Wooden Hand Connectors will be negotiated individually with each customer,
usually by charging the customer 50% of next years income.

If you promise to keep this a secret, I'll talk to Intruder; we'll find a compensation for you.

Per.

P.S. As you were one of the first to recieve a Wooden Hand Uncoupler; but still writes nice;
I guess you haven't Uncoupled your hands yet? Please try the Uncoupler before you write again.

I regret to advise that these so called uncouplers are not original and are indeed the cheap wooden version as can be seen from the Perllum Company. Only the Flash Dave Company and his various partners around the globe produce the genuine article. If required our legal dept under the control of Mr Nev (Mighty leader of the Trolls) will issue the usual legal papers and Capt Black will despatch an agent should this be necessary.

The matter will require to be put to the board of directors but wooden uncouplers are normally burnt at the stake or used to burn a steak.
Only plastic black uncouplers are authorised.
However as the Cave Company has Lord Macca as a Director and part owner then there is no reason why the NZ branch should not be able to rip off customers and thus contribute to profits.
Per I suspect will be suing as they do look similar to his ice lolly sticks but if perhaps some sponsorship or a photo of an All Black on the product were to appear then it is possible that this particular wooden uncoupler could be authorised as the only wooden one of any value and thus take its place as a very fine product.

Sir Flash (The Cave Company) just back from short hols and catching up

Sir flash,
'tis a noble idea indeed but the NZ Branch gave carful consideration to endorsements by the AB's and while we have the greatest respect for our players who are, in our opinion, second to none Cool - there is the issue of Coach Henry.[:(!]
He of the "I an too chicken to fall on my sword following the debacle of the World Cup" fame! [V][V]
We did consider approaching the Coach of Our Choice but as he is now the Coach for the Aussies we though it prudent to allow him the time required to bring a second-rate team [}:)] into contention. biggrinbiggrin

Here's a Giggle.
I finally remembered to deliver the Official New Zealand Edition Digital Hand Uncouplers to the Auckland MMRC last meet which was held on the 18th August.

These were complete with the "marklin-users.net" logo.

We had two distinguished visitors that night.
Martin Brandt (from Germany) and a New Zealand Gentlemen (whose name escapes me at the moment).

Both of these gentlemen were Moderatiors for the MArklin Bar & Grill.

I'm sure they appreciated me shoving these under their noses [}:)]

I'm lucky I found this topic. My dealer told me to send my coupled waggons to Göppingen so they would uncouple them for me, if I had not the manual uncoupler (and unfortunately they had run out of this part). If I tried to uncouple them by myself, I would lose my warranty. I will use your manual uncoupler stick. But please don't tell M*.

Brakepad. Please not that the Cave Company are the only official suppliers of hand uncouplers. We have agents in OZ, New Zealand and the USA with our special agent in Ireland.
You will find this forum helpful and many should be able to tell you how to uncouple if you do not have the equipment to hand.
You are indeed welcome here and the Cave Company are always pleased to assist any unserious model rail folk who enjoy Marklin.

Sir Flash Dave The Cave Company
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Thank you, Lord Macca.

This important topic has been resting for too long time.

To avoid any uncoupling problems, I step by step remove the couplers from all my locos and cars.

This way I don't have to hide from, or choose between, the different authorised or xxauthorised hand uncoupler suppliers.
We had two distinguished visitors that night.
Martin Brandt (from Germany) and a New Zealand Gentlemen (whose name escapes me at the moment).
...
I'm sure they appreciated me shoving these under their noses

Site promotion is always ok! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

In fact Mr Brandt is a very knowledgeable and great guy, in particular regarding German train operations, and was one of the posters at the old MML you always read with the outmost interest and joy when he eg explained what a D-zug was like and such in detail...

I suppose the NZ gentleman could have been Mr Greg Procter, maybe?

These are both great guys even if they are not active here...

Yes, that's him Juhan.
I had to feel for him, one leg and a flight of steel steps to climb, but he made it like a trooper.

Martin gave us a fantastic lecture / Power Point Presentation on Modular railways in the Stuttgart area.

It was a great night tho.

Svein

Fantastic idea.
Admirable in fact.
I tried it but I seem to have a problem with my consists.
They always get left behind when I start my locos.
Any ideas confused
