20230929_201513.jpg20230929_201513.jpg 20230929_201513.jpg hopefully I have put a picture of the dcc decoder on this page is this a sound decoder or has it been removed from the locomotive if so can you please let me know what make of decoder this is and the red and black wires on the circuit board do they go to the speaker

Update cv 8=99 LENZ decoder is this sound if not someone has removed sound decoder and fitted this you can not always guarantee what it says on box and instructions.

Hi Andy
Being not a specialist I prefer not to be too affirmative.
On my Märklin sound locos (the one fitted with mSD2 or mSD3, the decoder is very crowded (way more than what I see on your pictures.
The Trix 22246 is listed as a brown loco, introduced in 2015 with a DCC - MFX decoder (a Märklin mSD3 with 13 fonctions).

So I think the decoder you show on pictures is not an mSD3 (almost sure))
