Very Limited to 300 pieces - 379.99 EUR each. Due NOV/DEC.

Note - Marklin asking about the 30470.001 mfx/sounds. You'll get this loco if you take place in a special workshop at Maerklin in Göppingen where they upgrade the 30470-01 with a new motor and a sound decoder.

I could put a mSD3 decoder into my 30470.1 and then there would be 301 pieces......

Probably even 301,5 pieces.BigGrin, because of the mSD3 decoder. I just read that eg in the Insider 103 long (39170) has ex factory a mSD3 decoder on board. But it is a castrated one. It shall not be possible to change something in the sound. Whereas at a retrofitted mSD3 the sound can be changed.

Has anyone experienced any issues with these two locomotives in the 30470 set when they run over the C-track wide-angled turnouts 24711 or 24712?
They seem to cause short-circuit as they run over them.
Best regards,
Armando García

Hi Armando.
It could happen because of the short twin pick up shoe. I have had this trouble!
Check where the short happens.
I also had trouble with flanges touching pukos.
Check wheels' spacing, inner dimension should be 13.8mm.
Usually if you can find the "offending" puko, a very short piece of shrink tubing around it will take care of it, leaving only the tip exposed.
Good hunting. 😂

Jacques,

Thank you for directing my attention to the possibility of the wheel flanges making contact with the pukos on the C-track wide-angled turnouts!
It was exactly that! There are at least two "culprit" pukos. Once wrapped with the shrink tubing, the problems was solved.
I'm attaching a photo opukos.jpegf the problematic pukos.
Best regards,
Armando García
