Hi Jeremy,

I like it...Smile

What I'll do in the future is have the Banana Boat song playing in the background, as the banana train passes. (very classy..)

Maybe, I should stay out of the train room for a couple of days.....Confused

Very nice, I am amazed at how nice the body of the car looks. So can you tell me when Marklin produced kits? Was this a short lived thing or did it go on for some time with a variety of cars?

Thanks,

Chris

Märklin first rolled out four basic kits in the Year 1960: a gondola, an oil car, a reefer and the coal-dust transporter. None of them was ever too complicated that pliers and a screwdriver couldn't complete. The offerings lasted about sixteen years until the time the company went for scale-models and phased out its historic tin-plate series.

Hi Guys,

had to make a quick unexpected visit to Atlanta recently and on the spur of the moment
decided to get these. (The weathered wagons in lines 3 and 4 of the attached page). I
was trying to come up with a few wagons for my weathered brown kroc (37569) and thought
the weathered Ladegueter Bauer items would work. I think they will, not sure if protoypically
correct or not but they should look fine.

Michael was very kind to accommodate a last minute request and I would like to take the
opportunity to say a public thank you in this post:

"Thank you Michael - everything arrived as promised, a pleasure to conduct business with
you".ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp .

Nice models there, Ian! ThumpUp

A great selection. Some of these I haven't seen before. The flat wagon with the church windows is interesting!

...and why would the Reichspost need a kuhlwagon? - sounds like a good story behind that!
