I'm administrating everything I buy to remember price and to be sure I don't buy things twice (although a lot of models are worth a second one) By the way, Alonso, the number of cars/coaches/locos one ownes has nothing to with their importance in my opinion. wink

31 Marklin
8 Roco
11 Lima

That's a total of 50 if my maths is right!

I rarely use some of the Lima ones as they are old and don't run too well. The Roco wagons are nicely detailed but tend to derail on radius 1 curves.

Well, I started to count and decided I have better things to do! I'll leave it at I own roughly 70 locomotives, and no shortage of cars for them all. (I hate seeing people's collections with 300 locomotives and only 150 cars to pull!)

I have over 1000 freight cars, counting the ones in sets I've accumulated over the years. Only one is Roco. About 20-25 HAG, the rest all Marklin/Trix.

An exact count is not possible at this time because my computer list got accidentally wiped from my machine by the computer dorks that maintain the computers at work. So I've been reconstructing from a list over two years old. In addition, I've sold quite a few last year. But at last count, I recall that I had over 1100 (but have sold some).

Of course more are "coming home" all the time!

I think that I have 12 long passenger cars, about 30 freight cars, and few old short passenger cars from ancient starter sets. Most of them are from Märklin, but I also have some freightcars from Roco and Piko.

If I'm able to count correctly, I've some 214 freight cars (this number is expanding every quarter wink), most of them Märklin (178), 11 Roco, 9 Piko, 5 Electrotren (very nice cars, full of details made in real stuff, not plastic), 1 Liliput and 1 Fleischmann. Most of the Märklin are coming from sets, generally less expensive.

Looking to our project planning biggrin
I have to wait a while (until January 2008) before I can really start buying Cars and Locomotives by mass.
First the train table must be finished (scenery + catenary’s + signals + all the digital stuff).
And of course a nice glass showcase to putt all that beautiful train stuff in!

For now we have 17 passenger cars and 34 freight cars (LUX cleaning set included).

Not buying LOCO'S and Cars!

We have a long wish list already [:p].
But we have to wait until the train table + showcase is ready [}:)].

Meanwhile I'm dreaming about sitting in my relaxing chair and look at my precious inside the showcase all day. biggrin

I can run long consists, and have done so many times on the ETE modulesCool.

I've always tried to maintain an interesting ratio of rolling stock to engines. That is enough cars for all the loks that I own. This is a challenge, because it seems easier to buy a $300 lok than 20+ freight cars to pull behind it for almost twice that much.

If you are not able to sleep and have a lot of waggons and vans, you can count them when passing through a level crossing (better than counting jumping sheeps).
Of course I am joking!

I would have to count these also, but that is presently not possible.
I know it is far more than 100, -probably around 150.
I think 95% DB, and 95% Epoch III and IV.
I have from all marks and brands, but probably around 75% are from Märklin.

<font face="Verdana]How many...? The only answer can be not enough. Based on what I've seen and read on this site, I have must have the smallest collection of all of you. I didn't count my pieces, but I'd say 20 locomotives, 35 or 40 coaches, 50 or 60 freight cars. All '50s and '60s built, most in very good condition.</font id="Verdana]
