That railbus is gorgeous - still keeping an eye open for one although I'm not too fussy about the age. If I could find suitable lettering easily in the UK I'd consider restoring a tired example.

Very good, Stephen.

They seem to be in very good condition.
I also have an old 3016 with the skylights, but it is partly repainted and without the box.
Just got back from a business trip. While in UK I had a few hours to spare at Gatwick so I got on the train and went down to Gaugemaster. I ended up buying my first Piko loco, the Taurus in Dispolok/KombiVerkehr colours. This is loco number 46 in my collection. (Ouch, that grass looks too bright!)

When I got home, I found my 34112 had arrived as well. What a beauty!

I have a black one also without the rings by the way. My one is the 3411 which now has a 60905 decoder and with it. It drives beautiful.

I have quite a collection between Maerklin, TRIX Express and TRIX Twin.

My wife placed a sign at the entrance to the rec.room/basement train area that says "Pray for me. My husband collects trains". She does like them and rolls her eyes when I say but I do really need that one!!!

Happy collecting and operatingbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

And I have not even contributed with my loco list (one posting per loco would be mandatory!) Cool

Lutz,

I enjoy very much your pictures in other posts.. but you never answered the question on THIS post...biggrin

Ok.. I'll give it my best shot..

You have... between 200 and 300 locos... 90+ % are Marklin ...

How far am I?

I've always respected Lutz for not responding to this question. But between you and me I think you are way off on your estimate! wink

Now there's a question for the quiz section biggrin I'll venture a guess in the low 4 digit area ... based on Lutz's oracular comment [:0]

My own number of AC lokos went up by one to 153 yesterday with arrival of very nice Rheinpfeil set [:p]

I have 39 locomotives (3 Brawa, 1 Roco and the others are Marklin). The first arrived to my station, I think in 1969 (a 3029 in a start-set), and the others arrived after 1990. The Brawa (BR15, G4/5 and the Ep I version of the BR57) began arriving January 2007 and the Roco arrived in 2006 (it is a BR16).

Now I am finding space for the boxes. You know what I mean: space that does make it seems that no another loco has just arrived. :-) Out of the box it is easier for the new ones to get mixed between the others. :-))
Best regards,
Miguel

I got this nice looking 3084 Br050 on ebay for just under 80 euro. It is supposed to be in mint condition and only test run. I'll have to wait and see when I receive it.

This will be my 47th loco, with three more on order at the moment.

Looks like I'll have to order another decoder kit!

Well, I forget how many locos I have. But I have one more today than yesterday! And, it is a Nohab! I finally got the NSB Di3 in green at a decent price on Ebay (around 170 US incl shipping). It arrived in perfect shape. Very happy-makes up for a lousy stock market and a hard day at work. Happy day...

Hi all,

I am at 3 locomotives again (was at three before, until I sold the 39103). My favorite machine is the BR 23 steamer. I had hoped Marklin would deliver one this year but unfortunately they didn't.

Now I got this very nice second hand Roco BR 23 (054; #69225).
Very nice, René.

I also hope that Marklin will bring out a re-tooled version. For now, I have my classic 3005.

Ray

Yes, I hope so.

BR23 is on top wanted list.

It´s a very nice loco indeed.
I also hope Marklin will make a new retooled version of the 3005 (39230 ? - don´t know if the number is already assigned) with SDS and detail like BR01, BR05 and BR45 plus cab interior light, Telex in the back and fireman in the cab (fixed preferably, not movable plastic)! I was forgetting lights over the running gear.

Best regards,
Miguel

My last one is Brawa Talent OBB. It looks nice, but the pantograph is not so good, it is not spring loaded so small chances to keep it on the wires. It is equipped with a locksound 3.5, sound is great. In my oppinion it is not suitable for interior lightening, the connection wires between the wagons will become visible. Overall is a nice piece, a little bit too expensive for what you get.

Question from a begginer: is it possible to convert this locomotive to mfx by using a lokpilot mfx connected with existing locksound v3.5 decoder?

Hi,

Most of my locomotives are reviewed in my site along with photos of prototypes in two categories - collection:

http://marklinciyiz.biz/index.p...&id=34&Itemid=61

... and (sort-of) rolling stock (some will not run):

http://marklinciyiz.biz/index.p...&id=27&Itemid=61

PLEASE NOTE: Northlanders are not mine! [xx(]

I frequently clean up my inventory, and for the time being I have about 40 pieces.

Along with the 800 series, some of my favorites are:

the class 55 of DB (used by the TCDD too)
