Nooooooooooooooooooooo..............Cool

Just acquired a set that MrsKelly wanted after seeing a Trix set in the dealer: the "Märklin-Trix Wedding Set"
UserPostedImage

The detailing is superb, but fragile.
This set has a Delta decoder, but later Glaskasterns have mfx -- so an upgrade is in order.

BTW, the set was new-in-box, so hadn't been used in approx 9 years. Predictably, it didn't go first time, but after a little oil, it ran Smile.
Interestingly, the pickup shoe had lost its "spring", and made intermittent contact with my C-track test track. A new shoe is on order.
Cheers,
Damon

No problem. It was a blast getting to drive my larger locos (GG-1 and Insider BR-05) on a proper layout, rather than killing my poor back sitting on the floor...biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Nice set Damon.

There are a few sets with a Glaskasten and a couple of wagons, but this is the nicest by far. Well done!

Hello everyone.

I'm still exploring this forum so only just found this topic. Most of my locos are N scale so are not Marklin (though quite a few are Minitrix so they may sort of count). However, recently I started, fairly indiscriminately, collecting Mini Club trains. Currently I have some 70+ locos (including those from sets), mostly Marklin but a few others as well (Railex, HEM, Westmodel). Impossible to say which is my favourite, there being several candidates for that honour, but my recently acquired Nord Class 231 (based on the Bavarian S3/6) is certainly very attractive. Most of the rest of my locos are up on my website.

If I did that, it would take until the middle of next year! Actually, I have a fair number of duplicates due to poor book keeping so most of those will have to go in time.

Just got back from a business trip. While in UK I had a few hours to spare at Gatwick so I got on the train and went down to Gaugemaster. I ended up buying my first Piko loco, the Taurus in Dispolok/KombiVerkehr colours. This is loco number 46 in my collection. (Ouch, that grass looks too bright!)
