Hello everyone.
Recently I've been digitising several of my locos and it seems to be going well so far.

I have a 3039 eLok with a drum collector motor fitted with a Hamo magnet which is powered by a 6081 decoder. This works ok but has no speed regulation and also is a bit annoying since it goes from stop to fast within a few speed steps.
In my 'box of bits' I have a 60760 decoder left over from another job. Now, I know that these decoders are designed to work with the 5 pole motor but has anyone ever tried using one with a three pole motor with any success?

Thanks,
Paul
Marklin HO using M track. Now reverted to analogue as I find it has more character - and I understand it!

Never tried it myself, but I heard it doesn't work well (you cannot set the load regulation parameters with this decoder, so it cannot be set for different motors).

It probably will be somewhat better than the C81 you have now, but don't expect too much.
Regards
Tom

Thanks for the quick reply Tom.

I think I'll wait until I find a five pole anker for it. I've got the Marklin magnet from the 60760 kit but I used the anker for something else.
There's bound to be some on eBay somewhere.

Most Marklin dealers should be able to get an anker for you. Part number is 386820.
