Is it possible to simply install a 51961 Hamo magnet and retain the delta decoder?
If so, I need to know which of the available green, blue, black and brown wires (from the decoder) are used and to where do they connect.
Or do I need to also change the decoder for the Lokpilot V3?
Thanks in advance.

Malcolm.

If you install the magnet then you need to install the decoder, the preformance and control go way up and power consumption go down.
And I think the delta decoder is designed to magnetic field of coil to change direction.

A Delta decoder can be modified to run DC motors, but I think it's not worth the while.
