Very nice, Steven.
By the way, both your links point to the same picture of the 37618. I found the 3774 anyway on your site. It's the transparent Br216, isn't it? |

Here are my two latest additions to my digital roster: 37082 BR10 ( my first sound lok!) Roco 69718 BR111 ( My first Roco lok) I'm really happy with both! The Roco engine runs so nice and quiet, and the BR10 is just awesome! I was thrilled to snatch it. Bill |

When I first started in Marklin in 2003, I got the 03/04 catalog and it was in there. I was crazy about that engine but figured I'd never have one. But this one popped up on ebay and it was just affordable for me. I don't believe it had ever been run. the pick-up slider was spotless. I'm impressed with the Roco lok as well. I expected the detail to be good, but it also runs exceptionally well. I like how the lights switch from white to red with direction change. I am quite satisfied with both. Bill |

Many of you would have seen in the other threads my pictures of my E194 and SVT 04 in the Gator thread and the 37772 thread. I'll repeat one each of their respective photos here in this thread. 39223 E194 37772 SVT 04 This arrived in the mail today, along with my Trix Langer Heinrich ore cars (johnvandamme sent 24202 instead of 24204, but that's not a big problem). I brought the loco and cars without any track or controller, but johnvandamme sent the 29181 starter set box with the loco and cars, which I am very happy about. This means I can put some of my track in it, along with my spare MS and 18va transformer, and viola I have a full starter set... Edited by moderator 11 January 2011 19:18:19(UTC)

Very good, David. I like your starter set train. I run something very similar, with a 3088 which I've converted with a LP3, the crane and idler car, and flat wagon with construction vehicles. |

39300 is here.I got another 39160 hehehehe,so i have 5 in total of the 42.9 Franco Crosti's.3 grey and 2 black.I love them.
Got the class 18.4 (37184)...another junk loco that sounds like a gawdamn concrete mixer.
Got a second 37282...brand new, never run.And this one is even better than my first one. What a puller. Now i can start that diorama featuring "Dora".
Im not too sure, but i think i have around 65 locos now. |

Yeah, I agreed with you. Mine's not too bad noise wise, but it isn't a great puller. It struggled with pulling 5 24cm tinplate coaches up a 2.5% incline. I have 37184-2.

Very nice Palle, that's one loco I wouldn't mind having! Quote:[size=1" face="Verdana" id="quote]quote: Originally posted by obxbill<br />I'd like to hear how it sounds. Bill, it sounds the same as the Class 44 steamers, in fact a Class 85 is actually a Class 44 with the tender chopped off. The Class 85 was used a lot in the Black Forrest region to pull passenger trains up steep inclines.

This turned up last week, just got around to taking some photos. It's the Br.185 156-7 from the 29130 starter set: These hobby locos are great, and need to be the new Marklin standard for sensibly priced reliable models. How about a Br. 110 to the same standard now? |

Another loco which is on my buy list, Matt. That or the boxed version. It will match my 36850 DB livery Br 185, maybe in a double headed consist.

I thought the set was probably a better deal than the loco alone, as you get extra C track (oval with siding), one of the new Delta controllers and a couple of wagons thrown in. I think I paid about €30 more than the locos seem to go for on their own, although I've seen the 36836 (which I guess is the one you mean) for as much as I paid for the set! |
