Well I got the TGV. Had a few issues getting it going but it runs great now.

1. If you get one of these, pay close attention to what bogie goes where. They are not interchangeable.
   
2. One of the conductive contacts on the rear powered bogie of the locomotive was bent causing derailments.
   

I apologize for the absolutely terrible video quality here. I know I need more light but I am just endlessly frustrated with trying to make my camera work and I am not spending one more second on the damned thing right now. It's a good camera, good lens. Bad photographer. Really might as well just use a smartphone. You can't see in the text how frustrated/annoyed/angry I am but is something like it.



If you live in the US, despite the tariff insanity it's cheaper for Americans to buy one of these than Europeans, and the Azar storefront is very good. Once you give it a US address it knocks off the VAT, add appropriate tax for the US, and offers $40 FedEx shipping. I know the tariffs are annoying but these guys are proof it doesn't have to be a catastrophe.
