There has been some discussion of non-Marklin locos reacting oddly with Marklin Braking Modules 72442. They seem to go into analog mode - reversing direction and going into high speed. Has anyone discovered a solution to the problem? I have seen some discussion which suggests changing a cv in the locos can prevent the problem. Which cv and what setting?

With DCC protocol this is the following process:
CV 29 at value 6
CV 50 Bit 1: analog DC on 1 or you write value 6 with DCC protocol too.
CV 27 at value 48 ( check after Bit 4 and 5). Value at 48 are for the fx/mfx. If you read Bit 4 it´s for the DC standard polarity against the direction of travel. Bit 5 are DC standard polarity with the direction of travel.

This is what you set with Märklins sound decoder.
What other manufacture says it stand in theirs manual how to set.
Hopeful will this help if not less you try with Viessmanns brake modul instead?
