Hello guys, can you help me identify this loco? I received photos from a friend.
I want to know:

1)what model is it
2)it seems to have digital functions( i see the electronic part in one of the photos) - can be from factory or was added after , any idea if is delta or the new digital decodor?
3) do you notice any missing parts?

Hi Adrian
I think
- the loco is a 3015 (after 1956)
- the pantographs are non standard
- I fail to see any electronic component so chances are it is a standard analogue loco

All this is to take with a grain of salt (no crisp pictures on my phone
Cheers
Jean

the number 3015 on the side of the cab shows the lok is Marklin item # 3015 build between 1959 ~ 1964 (according to 3rail Wiki)
Seems someone put what looks like a 6080 delta decoder in it (and perhaps a new motor?) with the 8 toggle switches, a bit difficult to be sure, but as you said, you can see the switches on the underside.

Best regards

Jean-Pierre

I have someone told me is from 1965, what is the difference between the 2 versions 1959 and 1965?

Adrian

According to 3rail Wiki, there was no version produced in 1965, the next version was produced from 1976 ~ 1981 and has 13302 as operation number on the cab

There are 2 variants of the Marklin #3015: the 3015.10 and 3015.11, one is blue-green in color the other one pine-green. This info is from 3rail Wiki.

Best regards

Jean-Pierre

Hi Adrian,

Koll's says the inscription "3015" first appeared on the 3015.10 version in "Blue Green" with a silver-grey roof, 1959-1964
Then the .11 in "Fir Green" with a silver roof 1965-1975
And the kit 3915 would build a .11 1976-1978

Based on the images you posted I don't see a blue-ish hue to the color, so it may be a 3015.11 or a 3915 kit.

All 3 versions should have the "Type 6" pantographs with brown or green insulators; the ones in your images look like "Type 13".

I hope this helps.

Brian
