As I really need to focus on other things and will be glad to get my back order list from the dealer down to a handful of items or zero if I can manage. I almost had a heart attack of "oh no now I have to get that certainly...." when i saw the thumbnail with the yellow RAILab train... whew, its for Z scale. Bullet dodged.

Joined: 05/01/2023(UTC) Posts: 10 Location: Sofia (stolitsa), Sofia		Hello guys, I have a question regarding the new decoder 60996. Has anybody succeeded programming a sound into it? I understand i need the stick 60971 and the board 60970. I already have the stick and successfully used it to program 21 pin decoders. German manuals are not that easy to comprehend. I saw a youtube video, where they connected the board 60970 to the Marklin control station via the "track" port. I imagine this p0ort feeds the board with power. However, i dont have a CS, I use multimaus. When i use the stick 60971 i just plug it to the PC USB-a and then plug the decoder in it and thats it. Where do i need to connect this "track" from the board 60970 if i dont have the Marklin Control Station? Thank you in advance!

Joined: 04/08/2018(UTC) Posts: 997		I believe that any DC power supply around 18-19v should work. when you switch polarity the other LED lights up and it seems to work fine but haven't tested programming.

Thats too advanced for me, I guess.. it should be fairly straightforward, only a few cables are needed as described in the manual, and if you have eg a loose PluX22 decoder plate it should be possible. note that I have not used this way myself but others here on the forum have used it. so I can not guarantee that it will work. you could also try to call Marklin service to make sure it will work, before you try it.
