So I have Marklin bridges ( old m track style) and bought the gray Marklin oval pillars. Now that the pillars have arrived they don’t match up correctly. If I want to use Marklin pillars do I need the older red pillars? Is there a cheat to make the gray pillars work?

are you sure they are not compatible? The supports should be placed at the ends of the bridge and transverse to the track. Perhaps those are only for K-track and the older red plastic ones with green base probably work for M track. |

The grey pillars are indeed for the newer plastic bridge sections, not older metal M-track bridges...
However, there are always workarounds and hopefully you will get some tips here... |

Hi,
It is an interesting idea to design a 3d-printable adaptor to connect the new pillars with the old bridges. I will try. Give me a week or two.
Regards
Markus

Markus I was thinking the same about 3D printing. But I neither know anything about 3D design nor have a 3D printer. But my son does have a printer. I would greatly appreciate your efforts. Charlie

Hi all, I updated the part at thingiverse. It is little bit higher now. The first version did not fit all series of pillars. Regards Markus Edited by user 21 March 2019 20:16:08(UTC)
