I received a 7051 crane from a friend but it didn't have a control box with it. I tried to power it up but not knowing the wiring I am lost. Is there anyone that has the instruction sheets. And what kind of controller should i be using. Any help would be appreciated

https://www.google.co.nz...amp;biw=1860&bih=923You can see from this above how easy it is. Not hard to work it out though. The L/H buttons work the up down of the hook. the next for slewing clockwise or anti clockwise and the next is for switching the light/magnet on and off. Dereck |

I have a controller for the crane what came with another order I had placed on eBay and I was going to sell it. The only problem at the moment is that the controller is at our other home and I won't be going there until the end of July. Let me know if you are interested.

Robert Thanks but I think I have ways now to control the crane. And I finally got it working I guess after sitting for 20 some years the grease and oil was stiff. Now working like new.

Is there anywhere that I can buy the bucket or magnet for the crane. The one I got has only the hook. I'm in Canada.

Spotted both the magnet and a couple of buckets on US ebay for under $30 each coming from Germany and Italy. Good Luck.

Hi, The magnet is still available from the factory: https://www.maerklinshop...e-parts/32629/hebemagnet The bucket which are sometimes seen at 7051 aren't Märklin - products. These came from WIAD and are expensive (+50 EUR) today. The cheaper offers are buckets from 76510. These are smaller and so durable than the old WIAD buckets. Regards Markus

Hi, The original control panel can be easily replaced with a 70729 (or 7072) and a 70749 (or older version). Use the 70729 to move the crane and 70749 to switch the magnet. Unlike normal use the 70729 must be connected to 16V, not to ground. Don't be impressed by the prices you see. The price is for a pack of five. Regards Markus

Merged both 7051 topics, no need for two threads on the same topic.

I bought a couple of electromagnets from China to compare them to the lifting power of the magnet that comes with the 7051 crane. They cost less than 3 dollars each. I epoxied a screw eye into the hole and shortened the wires. Yesterday I tried to pick up this car with both magnets. The Marklin magnet wouldn't lift the car but the "2.5kg Electric Lifting Magnet Electromagnet Solenoid Lift Holding 20mm 12VDC" from China buzzed and the car jumped to the magnet and held fast. Has anyone else compared the two?
