Hi everyone, not sure if this is right place for my question .-------------- I picked up a few High-Efficiency Motor Conversion Set # 60944 and some reverse units with the intention of upgrading some of the older locos. As I only run in analogue will I still be able to if I change to the 5 pole motors or are they only for digital. I think I might have jumped the gun a bit getting the # 60944 sets. Say it isnt so and I did good. Thanks and take care out there. Eddie Cool Cool Cool

Hi!

The 60944 is a DC motor. With appropriate electronic reverse units or with digital decoders it can be used also in analogue operation.

It should work with the mechanical reverse unit if you add two diodes, but loco may run too slow.
