There have been some recent questions about consists and how to put together trains for the layout.

Hi Mike. Excellent link which I really like. I have done a couple of those photos shown, like the BR23 with Silberlinge, etc. I have saved this link

I also appreciate this link very much! ThumpUp I copied the address and sent to myself an e-mail to find it easily later. I have lost my favorites a couple of times, so I nowadays trust in this "method" to find the interesting links. Wink

You can actually back up your bookmarks and favourites both with Windows and Mac. If your browser ever crashes and loses the links, you can restore them from the backups. Just look for your favorites/bookmark folder and duplicate or copy and paste it (rename the file so that the system does not get confused, e.g. old bookmarks or favouritesbu or something like that.

Three photo sites I've come across which are also useful:

Railfaneurope.net

Bundesbahnzeit.de (has loads of older images, coverage is a bit patchy but what's there is fantastic)

Bahnbilder.de

If there are a few images of similar formations on different days then I'll take it to have been a common sight, and safe to consider realistic. There's a great shot on Bahnbilder of an immaculate blue and beige Br.216 with three 4yg Umbauwagen, or in Marklin terms 3674 with 4131/2/3. Just the job for a smaller layout.
