I hope this time Marklin will change placement different with screw for the body,so we owner of one model can easily pull off the body by doing some service.

OK, I'm excited!

For sure I'll get the 37138 Br73 and the 39672 SNCB NOHAB.

Now I need to find out what the 39xxx numbers mean this year....

I do not like the 39*** for the F7 Soo Line locomotive. If this 39 means different motor type and no 5-pole motor for this F7 it is problem. But maybe we have a little patient for all these.Mellow RollEyes

The product search database on the Marklin website now shows "New Items 2014" as an option, but returns no items to view

The explosion diagram showed a 5-pole DCM for the Franco Crosti BR 42.90 loco, but it can also mean "can motor" while other types are also possible. For 2014 new items, there is no difference between 37xxx and 39xxx.

The only highlight that interest me:

37446 Re482
37465 BR146.1

Finally, after a long wait, they decide to release the Trix version of TRAXX-2....

But while the Trix catalog was quite straight forward in saying that their TRAXX-2 are powered with 5-pole skewed armature,
the Marklin version comes with "standard-fancy-words-that-mean-nothing" propulsion..

.... and to make it worse, they only come with MFx Sound decoder.... double negative points..

ThumbDown

I'm also amazed that they still got the guts to release this model though:

37319 BR111

Olde, outdated, plastic body, and the standard coffee grinder motor,
repackaged and glorified with MFX+ Full Sound decoder.

Surprise, surprise...

<face palm-- emoticon is not here>
Now collecting C-Sine models.

The Super Chief is my choise.I want to be sure that the locomotive it will have the 5-pole motors we know and not something else. These heavy weight units (3 unit metal locomotives and 6 wagons)without strong motors will have problem.

There is few models i like it very much:
BR89
E93
BR55
E44
All with the sounds.
But unsure to buy those models, because of motor or sound decoder.

Happy to see this development. Finally a good decision. I already have a number of Re 482 including the Trix one. It would have been nice to get a Re 484 (I only have the Roco one).

Hi,

I'm most interested in Märklin 00797 Display with 12 type Fad 167 hopper cars. They are great looking, well running freight cars and have metal frames and end platforms. Weathered, individually numbered and with a layer of real coal Love . Great! I have two Märklin 46245 (5 Type Fad 50 Hopper cars) sets that are almost like these, but era III. So I have 10 Fad 50 already and these 12 would extend my coal freight train to long 22 car one... Drool

I don't have to worry about this products motor or decoder. Just enjoy them! I hope it will be priced within my budget though RollEyes .

Cheers,
Janne
Märklin H0 digital layout. I have analog and digital H0 Collection. Rolling stock mostly from era I, II, III and IV. Märklin 1 gauge beginner.

Wow. An Era II 'Mitropa-almost-Golden-20's' pack - a dream come true. Blink
Wow. A DRG BR73. That might come in handy. OhMyGod
A P10. ThumpUp

I like the T16 also. Razz

I have some criticisms, but hey, you don't need to know.

The 3 part locomotive has 2 motors, according to the description.
The 6 coaches are lightweight aluminium.
I believe it has sufficient pulling power.

I was rather pleased to see some of the announced new items. However, as usual, I was disappointed to see some details:
UPDATE: I amended this post regarding the 37348 model. The Maerklin model represents one of the LION models as it appeared before it was repainted in the new livery. The lok was equipped with the new LED lights while still painted in the 1990s red livery:

http://www.bahnbilder.de...b-re-44-11229-517955.jpg

1) 37547 RAe TEE. They have finally decided to release the TEE "Gottardo" in the full six coach version. Nice, but what took them so long? They then decided that this model will have the destination signs for the TEE Cisalpin (Milan-Simplon-Paris). Out of respect for modellers who model Swiss German items, they should have offered a choice of destination signs that could be swapped out.

2) 47039 Freight Set. Finally, a set of suitable weathered cars that will look amazing behind the 37323 weathered Re 10/10 set.

I hope that Maerklin will take the time to ensure that these models are delivered with the correct details that correspond as much as possible to the actual prototype, especially when Maerklin already has the correct moulds at their disposition.

Regards

The new items brochure contains 6 pages on the new Start Up productline, pages are marked with a yellow bar top and bottom.
Have not found big surprises here.

On page 203 for the Z assortment two 6 axle USA Diesels types E8A and E9A,in cooperation with AZL.
Perhaps some day these will also appear in the H0 assortment?

I know about the coaches,i have all the previous models. The weight of them is 190 grm.If the Santa Fe Super Chief does not have the 5-pole motor we allready know from all the previous models (37624-37629-37818-36628) maybe it will difficult to pull easily all this heavy consist.I believe that they will not do such a big mistake and put to this loco poor motors.

My exact sentiment - the US and DK stuff alone will be hard on my bank manager Laugh But as mentioned above it will be key what motors they put in the F7 lokos. 5 star motor is indicated, but let's see Glare

I thought that I would mention one additional tidbit of information about the 37348 Re 4/4II model.
While Hag and Roco have also released or announced models of the Re 420 LION, this Maerklin model will be the only HO model of a red locomotive in the Era V livery with the new headlights. The Hag and Roco models (to date) are all in the new LION livery for the Zurich commuter trains.

The Swiss Exclusive Set of a pair of Zurich S-Bahn coaches will contain two second class coaches. For those who are interested, Roco has announced a set of 3 28cm coaches of the same type which includes two second class coaches and one mixed first/second class coach.

For those who want to be prototypical, Maerklin's selection of Re 4/4IIs seem to contain a high number of loks that have been assigned to the Cargo Division.

The models were as follows (UPDATED):
34/3734 11162 C UPDATED (currently with rectangular headlights)
34/37341 11294 C UPDATED (Currently in red with rectangular headlights)
34/37344 11252 C
34345 11276 (420 176) C (currently in Cargo livery)
83434 (see 3434) Fantasy Model
37342 11305 C and 11344 C
37343 11161 P (currently in green livery and rectangular halogen headlights) (see Roco 78407)
37345 421 397 (11397) C (currently leased to a German private operator)
37347 420 227 P S-Bahn Zurich
37356 11239 C
26534 11332 C UPDATED (currently in red livery with rectangular headlights)
29481/3 421 374 (11374) C (but used for service Zurich to Lindau and back with EC trains)
29859 11376 (421 376) C (currently in cargo livery)
37320 11319 C UPDATED (currently in red with rectangular headlights)

37346 does not appear on this list because it is a Crossrail lok and not a SBB locomotive

The loks could be used interchangeably for passenger or freight trains prior to 1999 as their use was allocated by availability at depot. Since then, the loks were assigned to either Passenger P or Cargo C Divisions. To be accurate to the lok number, the current allocation is provided (based on info from Wikipedia). This leaves this latest model in addition to the just released 37347 as the only two Maerklin Re 4/4II currently in passenger operation (with the exception of 421 374 (29483) which has occasionally been used to pull EC trains between Zurich and Lindau on the way to Munich)

11229 is assigned to the Passenger division and would be a good choice for SBB EC (like 43671), SBB IC (EWIV) like 42166.

Roco's 78407 (11161) and 78403 (11208) both are locomotives currently in use with passenger trains.

Regards
