This is known for ages - and since then there is speculation about a new mould for BR 151 (following new moulds for 141, 110.1, 110.3, 140, 150).

Another new Märklin item:

Nice design IMHO and advertising for the Swiss loco driver union.

Hey, I like this Lok and it would be a different type for Märklin. I love the sloped down

front like some British Loks have. I hope they see this thread. Peter ThumpUp Smile

I have moved off topic posts on 3 pole motors and Wishlist models for 2014 into their own threads. I've also deleted other moderator posts trying to bring order to this thread, as they had become irrelevant due to me moving the offending posts.

Moderator post edit: Moved more posts to the wishlisht topic to make this topic even cleaner /Webmaster

Does the model have been verified by Marklin?
I can not find the news in their website.

Märklin have made many models that never show in their product database (models for Herpa, Eurotrain, MC-Vedes, ...).
Did they announce the 2014 museum car? No (but still we have a photo showing on this site).

It's fun to see new models leaking at some dealers before they are officially announced.

AFAIK you collect eras I and II, so why do you make such a fuss about a blue era VI loco? It may be a hoax, it may have been cancelled by the new M* management, it may have been delayed. Time will tell.

Tom

I don´t fuss any models.
Yes time will tell...but so far it´s speculation.
If any model will become presents,Marklin verified it.
Museum car has always been verified via news, but first when Marklin did verified it.

No, Koll verifies every Märklin model (he can get hold of), but Märklin make OEM models silently and without official announcements.

I have the Märklin models 36891, 37640, and 37842. Did Märklin ever "verify" those? Still they exist.

You mean the correct Cie is DB, I presume ?

Two locos of class 42.90 have been built for DB and were used exclusively by DB - and only for a few years (era III only).
So DB is the only possible operator for a prototypically correct model.

BTW: The 39162 (if it should come) will have the good old fashioned coffee-grinder DCM - like some class 101 models with 39xxx numbers before.
And judging from the explosion diagram it will have two tiny speakers in the tub tender. A combination that leads to bad sound in my BR 52 model 37151.

Who knows?
Could be an era III or era IV version anyway (DRG is a translation artefact).

After two era III versions, it probably is era II or era IV.

There were only two streamlined locos of BR 03 (and not likely Märklin will make one of those).
The other BR 03 locos were never streamlined, not even in era II - and Märklin will make an era II BR 03 sooner or later.

I might be interested in this, depending on what the era/livery is

37138 Steam locomotive series bay. D XII/73.0

I like the unusual wheel arrangement.

This is the only thing that catches my eye.

37564 Electric locomotive series CE 6 / 8 II and series be 6/8 II - "Crocodile"

The "and" is what puzzles me. I can not believe they would do another two loko set so soon. Perhaps they mean one that was built as a Ce and then upgraded to a Be, which is what I need, a green kroc in 1/87 scale. I have a version of all the others-four of the 1/75s and a brown 1/87. Just need a green 1/87. I passed on the one from the two loko set. While the double entry ladders for the cab were correct for that particular loko, it wasn't really indicative of the series when rebuilt and it just felt wrong.
Matt
Era 3
DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe
But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

Forgot about the blue Kroc. Wrong era, so I guess my wallet is solid for a while. I'll keep chasing sinus drive lokos.

That 37564 "blue Crocodile" prototype in the advertisement was 14305 Ce 6/8 III (like Märklin model 3756) originally green and weathered to look blue. I just wonder how can it then be Ce 6/8 II and Be 6/8 II? Märklin did 3756 model as a green version from Ce 6/8 III and Be 6/8 III (13305). A completely different engines... I mean II and III variant. Confused I was hoping for a old mould center motored "big" blue Crocodile. I sent e-mail to that shop taking orders and asked details about this 37564 blue Crocodile model. So far no reply.

Cheers,
Janne

The 37564 was same model as 39560-39564.

But 39560-4 have C-shine/SDS motors and 37564 will be five pole motor.

It is Be 6/8 III or Ce 6/8 III.

Somebody searched Märklin's web server for explosion diagrams of previously unknown models. He then derived the classes from the drawings.
With this loco he made a mistake. 37564 is the old mould, one motor, three axles powered.

Therefore we can only speculate if the models will come, which era and which livery they will be.

Tom

Well, if this is the case I will really consider if I will buy it or not. If it would have been old center motored "big" blue Crocodile I definitely want it. Why they print then photo of "3015 like" blue older Crocodile on the box? Maybe I will then buy instead older than 37567 black Crocodile 39564 instead as second hand purchase.

Janne

Hi all,

Today I got e-mail answer confirmation to my question what model 37564 blue Crocodile is based to. It is done to similar mould as 39560 like Stephen already wrote above. So it is quite sure I will not order it then. And if it has 5-pole DCM motor and costs 575 euro I will then buy an "old-new" 39564 black Crocodile in it's wooden box if I buy some very expensive locomotive in 2014. Or maybe old-new 37450 BR 45 Love .

Hi,

I think that this 37450 BR 45 will be "the locomotive" purchase of the year 2014 for me. It's best to forget other ones like Swiss Crocodiles, 37078 BR 78 and some others and just buy the real stuff and just enjoy it for years. I have wanted one over 10 years, so...

But next no eBay purchases before I have paid my deal with the best seller in Germany (for me). I have bought from him over 50 locomotives. 37521 SBB De 6/6 "baby Crocodile" project and 37591 Ae 8/14 "giant" for only 200 euro together. These can well be my last SBB locomotives for a long time then.

Time to really get that 37450 BR 45 in 2014. I will give a New Year's promise to get one in 2014, sooner or later.

Cheers,
Janne

Yes, I have many DB era III freight cars already to make a nice long freight train with 37450 BR 45. You will get the good news later. Now I have a total eBay buying break for a while... BigGrin

Hi Anders,

Yes, I also prefer green and brown Crocodiles, but when you have already many of them you (maybe) want something different. I have then at the moment two "fantasy livery" big white Crocodile 31860 (New York Central Lines) and new black-red Crocodile 37567. As a collector I'm interested in 39564 black-red older Crocodile too. If the new "blue'" = weathered from green one 37564 Crocodile would have been also done to same mould as 31860 white = 3015 or CCS 800 I would have ordered it then.

PS. I don't use pink shirts! LOL

Cheers,
Janne

Please shape up and respect the forum context where this topic is posted, this is not a general discussion topic about any models!!
