Previous models of this type have had model numbers in the 3773x range, so I wonder if the 39xxx number is significant. These used to be reserved for C-sine, but as these are no longer produced there must be another reason for the 39xxx number. |

I have not listened to the sound. I will listen next Saturday, the dealer promised me ! If the sound is clear I will buy this caoach because it's just too funny... Anyway...the way they have processed for this coach is promising for the whole set 43204.

I prefer to seeing the mechanically door opening function like Roco did rather than seeing the virtual movie on a unexisted door. After reviewing this item non of my friend is interested in this. All the comments is an one word.........boring. As a Model manufacutrer the most important goal is to aim at reality and correct scale. Marklin is used to ignoring this principle.

Regarding the sleeping car. It must be quite a shock to be woken up by the sleeping car attendant so loudly that it can be heard over 120 ft away from the train as it goes by. Never mind the toothbrushing and snoring as well. MC

Instead of a model with a screen that shows a door opening and somebody materializing and getting on or off the train, how about a model with mechanical doors that open. I used to have so much fun opening and closing the doors on the 348/1 (4015) SBB coach. I would hate to think that people today have so little imagination that they cannot imagine the people getting on or off. I would think that digitally selectable destination signs for modern trains/coaches would be a great idea While we are on the topic, how about moulding the windows on older passenger coaches so that some are open, some are part open. Why is it that other companies have multicoloured interiors with more detail, window shades, day or night seating, etc and Maerklin still has plastic innards that look worse than 1972 Liliput models?

This version of the 41 looks great IMHO, especially with the Wagner smoke shields. Glad that I resisted the temptation to buy the weathered 37922. Thinking about it, the 37922 looks quite nice too if it wasn't for the weathering...

Please Ray, do you know the difference between this one & the Schiennen bus ? Hi Roland, I'm no expert, but I think this one is like the original Marklin 3016 railbus, with no buffers and the shorter trailer. The other more recent version has buffers and a trailer which is just as long as the railbus |

Why should it be so that it is the steam locomotives with Wagner smoke defectors that come without the full palette of sounds? BR-41 and BR-50, and now the new BR-41 with old boiler. It is always the ones with Witte smoke defectors that come with the full sounds. I wish they'd take turns! |

The SBB ZVV Zurich S-Bahn coaches were announced about a month ago. It is a special production by Maerklin Switzerland (999 units) and will be available through Swiss dealers only (at first). Stucki is one of a number of dealers who will be carrying this item. It is possible that Maerklin might later decide to release this model as a regular item.
Among the shops advertising the two coach set are Suter Meggen, Roundhouse, Bahnorama and Stucki to name a few.
For those who want 1/87, the second class coach is available from Tillig. The mixed 1st/2nd coach will be available as part of a two coach set (with pilot coach). The LION trainsets include one or two AB and a number of B coaches (no pilot coach) with a second Re 420 at the end of the train.

Rumours say the new items brochure will be available as of January 14. Then we will have one link that covers (almost) all confirmed new items. |

I don't know about the brochure aspect, but its no rumor that the new items will be presented on the 14th. That was mentioned in the 2013/6 insider |
