biggrin,..well it almost feels that way!

It is a loc manufactured by HAG on request of SBB to commemorate the fact that they sold more than 300000 GAs (General Abonnement). The loc is not available at dealers and only sold by SBB.

True words, Svein ... [^][^][^]

When feeling I don't want a specific model, anymore, I remove it from the layout and put it
in a drawer, next room. If a few weeks later I'd think it's really obsolete said model goes to
the Grandkids' trainbox. But such happens rarely ... biggrin

This is one of my absolutely favourite BoBo, the EL-18 from Norway.

My model is rebuilt with the kit 60921, which means mfx-decoder and high-efficiency propulsion.
Since this loco was formely Delta-equipped, it has common lightbulbs. I think they looks better than the locos equipped with the yellow LED:s. I dont know why Märklin is not using white/blue LED:s?

I agree, Peter. It is a very nice locomotive.

But I also think that some of the Swiss versions look very good. Although it is too modern for me, I bought this during my visit to Märklin Erlebniswelt earlier this month:

Hello,

of course i painted these myselfbiggrin I won't wait untill they arrive from ROCO or Marklin.

These are both roco models, the first one an ordinary blue one. Ihad to remove most of the "regenrinne". It is the first 110 "nachbau".

The second one was an ordinary red loko that just got a new livery.

Some older Swiss Bo'Bo':s. The 3323 and 3328. They are very sturdy locos, made entirely of metal.
They owns that true Märklin-feeling of them. I'm gonna retrofit the locos with the simplier 60760 high-effiency propulsion kit,
possibly also NEM-coupler pockets.

It's a shame the SBB got rid of them so soon. In my model world, SBB has kept them into Era V, so I can run it alongside my Re482!

I like my 3323 - still analog and unfortunately with a few problems. The headlight doesn't work at one end and it could do with a couple of new pantographs. Unfortunately the pantographs don't quite match any of the readily available Marklin spares (unless they're the same as a 7219 but with different bases?). I rather baulk at paying €50 for new pantographs direct from Marklin!

Edit, here's my 3323:

Ray,

even though the SBB got rid of these 4 locomotives, they are still running each day between Romanshorn and Luzern and between Zuerich-Altstetten and Einsiedeln. They carry the current SOB livery as well as promotional liveries.

More info at www.sob.ch and photos at http://www.bahn-online.net/sob.htm and other sites.

Mike,

Thanks for the links. It's nice to see that the loks are still fully employed.

Unfortunately my re-painting skills are limited, so I must continue to pretend that the SBB never got rid of them!

Mine usually runs with the 41893 FS coach pack. I know they're Epoch V but it looks good. 41896 (the extra coach and baggage van for 41893) is also on my wants list.

The orange Eurofima coaches are the right era and also look pretty good - unfortunately I only have two 1sts and a 2nd which is a rather bizarre train, especially as the firsts are from the SNCF and OBB and the 2nd is Belgian! It does look pretty good though - trying to build a complete set of these.

I also use to run this loco with international coaches (mainly FS or DB) reproducing an Eurocity or an international night train, or some goods trains. But I don't know what they actually pulled when they were owned by SBB. Someone knows?
