I've let my 3323 loose on the carpetbahn with my TEE set before now, unfortunately as it's still analogue I can't run it on my semi-fixed layout in the attic (digital with MS).

With this setup the loco runs very well. It gains a lot compared to the original 3-pole rotor with Delta decoder. And here at work with the corresponding passenger cars.

Did it ever have a part number. It appears to be new but the sound is very weak, at full volume, was this typical of this model, or should I install a new 100 ohm speaker.
		DT Now powered by ECoS II unit#2, RocRail era - some time in the future when the space time continuum is disrupted and ICE 3 Trains run on the same rails as the Adler and BR18's.

Pietro The Re 4/4IV were mostly used on Express train traffic between Geneva and Domodossola as well as between Vallorbe (French border) and Brig/Domodossola. These locomotives could be found during their years in service with the SBB pulling most of the various types of SBB Coaches as well as many international consists, including SNCF Mistral 69 (TEE Cisalpin), FS TEE Coaches (TEE Lemano), SNCF UIC-Y, FS UIC-X and other coaches. I no longer have my 3328, but I have the 10103 from Roco, as well as 446 016 Seedamm, 446 017 Tesa and 446 018 in SOB colors. These loks pull my SOB/BT EWIVs, Lima and Hag SOB EWIs as well as my Wabu Voralpenexpress train set. The Maerklin equivalent would be a 37301 with a 42161 Set. I suppose that you could use the SNCF Inox Set to look like the Mistral 69s behind 10102 or 10103. Because I am a DC guy, this Re 460 is the HAMO version. I will test and explore it later. At first, one moderate pic. I had not enough time to make a better one. Maybe later more.

But the 5-pole rotor is already ordered. I will also test ball bearings (I hope it is the right term in this context). Last year I made the same conversion with an BR 111 HAMO (the above described) without ball bearings. Let's see how ball bearings change the performance of the Re 460.

So I didn't have to paint the light grey parts, also lettering stayed on. Grey was taped, and the entire body painted white. after this blue and the red roof. Houses were found on the internet. Here was a rather good picture of the side of the loko. This picture was stretched and straigthened using coreldraw. After this houses were extracted from the picture and saved on my competer as a JPG file. The same houses were also saved as a vectorfile (SVG) and imported in Inkscape. (Freeware, try this!) After this the drawing was split up into two layers, one for printing the white base (with an ALPS printer), the other layer for colour (over the white). The Ameropa logo also was found on the net, and converted into an SVG file, split into layers and printed out on an alps. Most different part was the lettering "mach mal kurz urlaub". This are no fonts, so I had to convert these from a very small picture. It took me about 12 hours to get these acceptable. The lokonumbers are a font on my computer, so this was easy. Bart

I also have an unusual Bo-Bo, it was produced for Mercedes Benz dealerships, as part of a set #26527. There were 1200 Marklin sets made, plus 200 in Trix 2-rail. It is a Class 182, all-metal body, and can be controlled digitally. I don't know much else about the prototype or model, because I usually model era III. I hope you like it. regards Kimball

I think Mercedes Benz used it as a promtional model only. The dealerships sold the sets to their customers. It came with 24 Herpa model 'S' class cars in chrome finish, on car carriers. regards Kimball

I think that it should be "Bitte Einsteigen, Tueren Schliessen, Vorsicht bei der Abfahrt" (All Aboard, Doors Closing, Caution on Departure) I have the same PA on my Gottardo Set. Not Swiss at all. I like yor Re 4/4 II also. I see it has a drivers cab, unlike the 3rd. prototype series from marklin. I bet they re-issue it with one. The older E 10's did not have them either. The TEE color scheme is attractive. I only have DB tractive power for my Rheingold/Helvetia.
