I have scanned it, and the download link for it is in my post above. 0390 did come out in English. Again the download link for it is in the above post - 4th link down under 'Track Plan Books'.

Download link is in the above post. The scan that has been uploaded appears to only have the English translation, the actual book also has translations for 4 other languages. I think I have this book at home, so will have to rescan it with all languages.

Thanks, Robert I assume you are using two pairs of the 24711/24712 turnouts and the 24640 crossing to make a double turnout. I also assume you know you need to use 24071 straight tracks at the end of the turnouts (8 required. The 24071 tracks have removable side roadbed and the turnouts come with a piece that replaces the pieces removed. I have AnyRail track planning software and I have been playing with this configuration. The straight pieces needed for the parallel tracks where the crossover section is at is an odd size. It is larger than a 24172 but smaller than a 24188. I have tried combinations of smaller pieces, but nothing seems to fit. If my assumptions are wrong with what you are using, let me know and I'll see what comes out in AnyRail. Robert

However, when you connect one end of the 24740 to a 24711 or a 24712, the other leg of the 24740 in now parallel to the mainline and does not match up to the other turnout. It is the wrong angle, half of what you need. That is why the 24640 is the right crossover, it is double the angle (24.3 degrees) of a single 24711/24712 (12.1 degrees). The 24740 is also 12.1 degrees, but that is half of what you need. And if you don't use the 24071 on the end of the turnouts, the roadbeds of the adjoining tracks will hit each other, stopping the tracks from joining, unless you manually cut the roadbed of the adjoining tracks. I have the 24711/24712 turnouts and you must use the 24071 tracks without cutting the roadbed. If you have one of the Marklin catalogs, say the 2009/2010, look at the 23740 on page 240 and the turnout description the 24711/24712 on page 243 and they talk about the need for the 24071s. In fact, I don't know why Marklin doesn't sell the 24711/24712 turnouts and the 24740 with the needed 24071s, but you have to purchase them separately. I think I saw a post here recently that to make up a double crossover with the smaller turnouts requires that tracks are cut to fit. I guess the same holds true for the 24711/24712. And of course, after making these up with standard pieces, the two parallel mainline tracks are no where near the spacing that you would have normally. Let me know if I can help in any other way. Robert

Brain farts I guess. I was looking for the some rail plans and I guess I need to purchase the "C" track plan book to see what goes together. I was looking at the Marklin website trying to find what track pieces I need to construct a double crossover. I like the 24711/12 switches because the passenger cars don't do the "cha cha" when passing through them. I have 6 pair of these switches so I guess I will need to purchase a pair of 24071's for each switch plus an additional 4 for the crossover. Send me an Email and we can discuss this further. Most of the latest Marklin brochures are available in pdf format, e.g. Marklin always makes the New Items, the Summer New Items, and the Fall New Items all available in pdf. They don't make the catalog available in pdf, which is why I have scanned them.

The tracks plans will be very useful for my son and myself. I found, last saturday stored at my parents house, my old Märklin set S+E+T1 (early 80 I believe), that my dad, gave to me and my brother, when I was 10 (today I´m 33). I want to make a permanent layout at my home and this forum will be a definitive help to end in a successfully project. Regards from Argentina. Diego.

Judging by the file names Jon, most of those files you have are the ones I uploaded to Rapidshare. See my post of 25 September 2009 in this thread. If you didn't get them from Rapidshare, then I suspect you probably brought a DVD from an Australian ebay dealer (I see you are in Australia) who has downloaded my files and is making DVD's of them and selling them to unsuspecting buyers. Because of this, I doubt that I will be uploading any more files to Rapidshare.

The fact that you had files uploaded on Rapidshare doesn't help your case considering all the illegal material which derives from there and you have the cheek to try and tell me where I got some not all of similar files you had from and then proceed to tell me I then sold your files on eBay... Get over yourself buddy. and just for future reference Mr Wedde I wouldnt be so quick on playing detective, leave that to the professionals. We all know asumption is the .. well we all know dont we Firstly, I would suggest to you that it is not good form to suggest to a forum moderator that he should 'Get over yourself buddy' - especially from someone who has just joined the forum. Secondly, show me in my post where I suggested YOU were selling my files. The reference I made was to an unknown Australian ebay dealer who was on selling them, no where did I suggest that that was you! To clarify, most of the files I uploaded were scanned by me, at the cost of a considerable amount of my time, and because others are now profiteering from them, I doubt they will be on Rapidshare for much longer. As for Rapidshare, well that was a convenient place to put the files so that Marklin fans worldwide could freely have access to them. Many people have downloaded them, including at least 2 other Marklin specific mirror sites, and that is fine, but I do object to people profiteering from my and others hard work. Lastly, I'm not your 'buddy', and we have rules in this forum regarding showing respect to other members, and to the moderators/webmaster. Some were obtained from Emule and maybe other websites (approx 1/4 to 1/3 of them), but the rest were scanned by me. I can even dig out the originals to compare with the scans, not that you would obviously take that as proof of anything. I borrowed many of the originals (especially the 1950's catalogs) from a fellow Marklin club member, some I had in my collection, and the rest came from our club's library - I wish I had left the club's stamp on the scans, but I removed them for obvious reasons. Any future scans that I make available will be watermarked to avoid any confusion. As I said, I was not making any accusations against you, you are free to purchase whatever you want to off ebay. My contention is with those who use my stuff that I have made freely available to anyone who wants it, for their own profit. Since you are obviously incapable of coming on to this forum and showing respect where you should be, and using offensive language (once again, against forum rules - there are kids who read this), you are obviously not a fit and proper person to be here.
