Very nice, Philip!

Watch out for copywrite rules. I think you're alright if you don't put them on a public website.

I had one of the SNCF 150X locos and converted it to digital, with telex coupling, gearlight, sound decoder and led's in tender.
I've sold it last year.
an other one was the 3180, did the same conversion and additions as the SNCF and sold it.
I still have three converted 3047 BR 44, love them.
converted one with 10 rubbertyres, before higheffeciency motor with load regulated decoders.

Ahhh.... I had this catalog as a child (in Swedish)... All my old childhood catalogs were thrown away by my mother in the early 70:s, but they were all well-read and torn so they looked like junk to her...

If you had only known back then that these would become valuable on both historic & value grounds, you would have cared better for them... That also goes for the Donald Duck magazines from my childhood...

Wasn't it this year we got the 3098/3099 BR38 for the first time? To the "kid" in me it looked just about like the 3003 BR24, but not as cool as the 3003..

Yes, thanks Philip! It's always nice to read through old Märklin catalogs. Smile

I've bought many on e-bay.de, and it amazes me how many there are in mint condition. Many looks as though the pages never have been turned! From the mid 60's and onwards they aren't really that expensive either. So buy some!
It gives you something to do during the long winter-evenings.

I once had several catalogues from ~1975/76...

I wonder what happened to them! They may still be lurking in the assorted debris in my bookshelves, or perhaps at my parents' place...

I remember lusting after a Crocodile -- the Australian price was more than $100!!!!
Who could possibly afford that...[:0]
Cheers,
Damon

The 1968 Danish catalog was the first I ever had (as a child I lived in Denmark for a year near a town called Torup). A special treat was a trip to Thorngreen's with the catalog in hand to (maybe if it was my birthday) to get a car or wagon. The layout is now with my nephew, but thanks to Ebay I have replacements for the catalog and most of the layout.
Thanks for bringing back happy memories of my childhood.

I got the catalogs from 1953 and 1955. The 1953 catalog is missing some pages, but the one from 1955 is in excellent shape and you can't hardly see it is over 50 years old. They are both in German. If you want some copies, I can easily scan them.

I’ve got several scanned vintage catalogues from a highly dedicated märklinist living near La Plata city, Buenos Aires, Argentina named Marcelo.
With his permission have uploaded two of them, from 1935 and 1938 respectively, into Rapidshare from where you may be able to download.

If the webmaster agrees, maybe interesting to make available inside märklin-users.net those old documents which should be copyright free as a way of keeping them alive.

Thank you David, for uploading the 1950 and 1951 catalogs Smile. I was actually thinking of buying them on eBay. If you maybe can upload the one from 1952 and those from before 1950 (if you have any) I would be very happy.

I have all of those scanned Ray and Thor. Will upload when I get a chance.

I don't have much before 1950, just a 1935, and another early catalog which I'm yet to scan.

When I'm finished I will have everything from 1950 to 2008.

I've added the 1952 and 1953 catalogs.

Yes haxpet, I have most of those as well. I will be scanning a couple of the 80's, one of the 90's and about 3 of the 60's that I don't have. I've borrowed the catalogs, just need to scan them.

Keep an eye on this thread, I will put download links in my post above, as I upload them.

Thanks, David.

I have a sort of introduction/information catalog for spur 00 from 1949 (Die elektrische Miniatureisenbahn spur 00). It is very useful, if you want to operate vintage Märklin 800 locos and 300 wagons and if you want to build an old layout. If somebody wants it in a pdf-file, I can scan it and upload it.

Thor

Here it is:

Unfortunately the booklet/catalog fell apart when I scanned [:(], but then it's good it isn't the most rare catalog.
Download it, because you can't live without it if you want to operate vintage Märklin wink

Unfortunately the booklet/catalog fell apart when I scanned [:(], but then it's good it isn't the most rare catalog.
Download it, because you can't live without it if you want to operate vintage Märklin wink

Thor

But I will still be looking for the others that from the 80s and 90s. Even catalogs from 2000 and later are appreciated.
