Indeed it has the same large sound chamber (for the speaker) as was used on 37624. Thus the sound experience should be similar. I hold thumbs for Union Pacific livery. BigGrin

Thanks for the link! It made my day!
It is a 2 motor A-B-B unit! It is not really like the 26600. The 26600 has the 2nd motor in the 1st B-unit (front boogie) but according to the spareparts list it´s in the 2nd B-unit in 37629. Propably it will be the same sound unit as in the 37624, but I like the sound in it. The price will propably be the same as 37624. Expect no less than that (thank you for good payment plans!)

I think we can expect something else than the 10 car freight train set. It would be awesome with a brand new set of streamliners! Personally I think the streamliner cars are the best of the best cars I´ve seen.

Edit: I think we and the list is wrong. It´s an A-B-A unit. Why? Look at the part list. NO B-unit has ever had a light. And the A-unit and the 2nd B-unit has the same number on spare part for the windows. That doesn´t make any sense. Also Märklin has called the A-unit for a C-unit in the spare parts list for 37624.

You're right, David - M's B-units never had any lights.

Thanks for the nice pictures of the "Ulmer Spatz" ThumpUp .

I think we will see the "New Items online-brochure" today, tomorrow or on thursday. Because some dealers will give a New Items-presentation this weekend.

I'll buy it anyway. But I still hope more streamliners will be produced. The F7 Amtrak is a A-B-A or A-A consist with streamliners.

No, I don´t think it will be. What I meant was that it´s possible Märklin will produce streamliners for the 37629 even though it´s a A-B-A configuration.

According to Stummi forum there will be an A-B unit in the Kansas City Southern colours to celebrate 50 years of the model. It´s from a newsletter for the US-market.
Propably it was for 37629 and it´s been changed to A-B-A consist?

Well, I´m already broke since my latest purchase of Northlander and last year F7. But I don´t regret buying any of them. If I can get at least one train this is the one. I´ll preorder it today.

Edit: Yes! I´ve preordered it and my dealer is gonna leave the order to Märklin ASAP. Maybe I´ll get No 1 out of 1999!!

Definitely five items which i will order:
F7 – 37629
BR 50-40 – 37040
BR 150 – 37851
ALCO PA1 set – 26490
USA wagon set - 45644

A bit disappointed with the BR 042 Oil burner (37925). It is not as finely detailed as the Roco version, especially looking for the piping along the boiler. What do you guys think, am i just too finicky?

Also missing the BR 53 (37024) among the 2011 new items, does not look as though it was released. Will make futher decisions when the catalogue is released.

Regards

HO, ECoS 2, Märklin C-track, any country, any design, any era & any brand which i like.

Br 97 is also a hoax.

The Koff III set with telex and 2 vans is also very good. Price 240 euro.

There will follow new items for the Netherlands. I think that we will see a brochure "Netherlands 2011" in a few days/weeks on Märklin.nl. Some new items:
  • NS 1100 Set
  • NS 6400 Set
  • NS ICL-set
  • And also something else Cool

Personally I think it was a bad Swedish selection this year Angry

Cheap TRAXX HOBBY locomotives like a Green Cargo Re without any real snowplows ThumbDown

Everyone has already done it, Roco/ACME/Piko

It also seems that M forgets us, so they go north of Sweden and make a T44 used for ore vehicle within LKAB. This engine 37942
can only be finding on their web page without picture and are not inside news PDF.

But this time it has mounted sound decoder ThumpUp
