400 new items => 200 new Märklin items, but 90+ % will be colour variations of existing items. Thanks for the information H0!!! RMW |

I think that we will see the full list this weekend or next week. My dealer said that the "new items-brochures" for the dealers will follow in a few days in Holland . RMW Edited by user 14 January 2010 11:13:42(UTC)

HANS Yes, It is Cat number 39030. According to Stummi's there is no new BR 39. It was a false interpretation of a new items presentation in a magazine. "s geht nicht um Werbung sondern um die Präsentation der Märklin-39 in der EK-Rubrik "Neuheitenkurier". Dort werden Modelle vorgestellt, die "kürzlich" an den Handel ausgeliefert wurden. Diese Beiträge sind meist nicht sehr aktuell... " It's not about advertising, but about the presetation of the BR 39 in the EK Column "New items courier". In there new items are presented which are shortly delivered. This contributions are mostly not very topical...... |

Latest rumor from that same thread now says that an Era II BR39 (39392) is coming as the final Bellingrodt model.. This is possible, as Marklin already use most of their exquisite toolings for the Bellingrodt models... saves for the new BR39 or non-streamlined BR05. I'd say the 05 is a candidate, but at the same unlikely as the streamlined version already make this year's edition. OTOH we might get another BR61 or a new tooling BR41 as the final edition. |

It is a joke, the brochure will come the official way on the morning 22. of january .... Usually the german dealers get the brochure one day before. If some of them scan maybe we have something Tuesday 19.01. For instance from: LOKSHOPhttp://catalog.lokshop.de/MAR/2010.News/D/image_1.html |

Pssst, I wonder if Monster wants another Br45?
Lots of interesting stuff there, but nothing that hits me to immediately buy.
I am quite surprised to see another set of the 3 axle 'Umbauwagens'.

Thanks for the news. Happy to see what the new year brings us. I am not overly impressed with 2010. I might get the last Bellingrodt in the series, but it is not a must. there's also the new TEE Bavaria - the Swiss model which I might get as well. Maybe the new Br45 too. Other than that... not really something to make my heart pumping. So M* is getting a from me for the new items. I shouldn't complain though, as they cannot make every year a stellar one. Maybe they'll come up with some exclusive items over the year, that will grab my attention. However, I still have a lot of catchup to do from the previous years, especially from 2007 through to 2009. On the other hand, this year they're celebrating 75 years of HO and 175 years of railroading in Germany. They seem to have very limited anniversary models related to these two milestones. I wonder why only a few. |
DRG, DB and SBB Era II, III and IV Sincerely, Sebastian |

Dank U/Thank you for the link Jos! This looks like an expensive year. TGV looks tempting, so does the Ludmilla w sound, 110 in red etc etc etc And of course the Hector Rail 141, where I had plans for converting the Trix model from last year ....

Mostly reissues of old models, some of them welcome back; others should've been retooled.
I am thrilled at the reissue of the tin plate coaches in historical boxes. Keep 'em coming back!
What a disappointment that neither the TGV nor the Gläserner Zug will be made of metal. I can't be bothered. Isn't Märklin's niche on the market the production of metal models? What diffence will it make to buy the same models by ROCO, etc., which for sure will be produced in the coming years.
Will the new Swiss TEE consist and the IC express coaches be made at the correct scale (1:87) or are we here still stuck with the Christmas toy-train, curtailed size?
Not much new, but the BR03 sure looks like a desirable model.

How do you want to make the Glaserner zug from metal? And a TGV from metal would probarly cost 1500 euro. I have the coaches set Bavaria this is 1:93. And if there is in the future a firm named Roco only time will tell. Roco is not doing very well also. |

It is like seeing part of the best of the years 1990-2000, i sense that M really knows this place and knows what we ask. I will not buy much, but really like some of the news items like: -The f7 (a must) -The belgian class 55 (maybe) -The military wagons, the US box cars, and various other wagons. |

Too much german models for me. Allthough I like the freight car set 47026. The (reissued) set of 2 ÖBB Rh 1041 (37417) is interesting but equiped with the antique DCM engine ( ). I'll have to concentrate on other brands for a further year I'm affraid.

The BR 03 is a must have The 2010 Bellingrodt is a BR 01, so I like that too. The set with the beercars looks nice too.
I like the TGB and the Glasern zug, but no steam. So I won't buy those.
As said by others, a lot of re-issues, but what would you expect from M now.

Do I really need to answer this question ? If this mentality persists, Märklin will soon be providers to cheap retailers like Walmart's and Toy's R Us. Will it be worth anymore? Only scantly two new models in the whole new items catalog (aside from the BR03), and still Märklin could not bring themselves to make them in metal? I was left with the impression that the Märklin name stood for quality metal models, above all other competition. As for me, they won't have my money for those plastic models this year. |
