Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting. Has anyone built or painted the Dammtor station? I found a picture of the station from some friends in Hamburg, showing the color to be similar to Humbrol 90.Any problems with missing or broken parts? Thanks.Smile

Hi sbahn, and welcome. Are you referring to the kit of Dammtor produced by Trix? I understand that it is a rather large kit, and requires considerable effort to complete. I have seen pictures of this station in one of the current Marklin track plan books where there is a layout based on Hamburg, featuring the Trix Dammtor station. There is a auction for the extension kit for the main Trix kit on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.de/Trix-66117-HO-Bahnhof-HAMBURG-DAMMTOR-Erweiterung_W0QQitemZ170019360085QQihZ007QQcategoryZ99865QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
which has a picture of Dammtor.

I have read something on other Dutch forums from people who have built this kit. It is a very difficult kit and you need to be flexible and creative. If you are a starter with building kits this is not the one for you.

Greetings,

A work in process. My wife who builds all our kits is working on the station and extension she expects a little over 500 hours and an addtional 10 for weathering. Very complex with limited instructions and thousands of parts. I'm trying to figure out where to build an extension for it.'
We've had the model since Trix brought it out a number of years ago.
