Hi

Has anyone manage connect an capacitor on mLD decoder ?

I get the capacitor 1500uF to charge U-/U+ but the decoder dies immediately when the power goes off.

I find this wiring diagram on moba-hgh.de Huh

Should work....

Could it be that something is not wired correctly. ? e.g. is the diode mounted the right way?
this thread might also help: (the instructions on the moba-hgh.de is not the best)

Someone has succeeded here making it to work with 470yF/35V together with PCB Mellow

Should this capacitor be requested between GND and +Ub if not using 21MTC PCB for mLD/mSD...

Perhaps you also need a capacitor on the +5v for the decoder processor. ?
I have not used capacitors on old mLD but only used them on mSD and as you also noticed it works fine.

The video is great but doesn't clarify functionality of mLD decoders...

Like I mentioned the powerpack works with the same generation of mSD decoder.

Yes the question are, and I will try decoder with circuit board later to see if the +5 capacitors will do the magic Huh

By the way how do you know its +5 on the board ?
