Hi,

LGB is G gauge and Märklin is Gauge 1.

I have seen Märklin loks,etc., run on LGB track,so It should work the other way around ;-)

G gauge and 1 gauge are the same, both are 45 mm. But G scale and 1 scale are not the same. G scale is 1:22.5 and 1 scale is 1:32. The size (height) of the rails is much different between the two. To run equipment on a higher rail than it is intended for is usually no problem (thus, Märklin runs on LGB track). The other way around could be a problem, but I don't know.

Actually there is no such thing as "G gauge or G scale". This is simply a manufacturers term.

More correctly the LGB stuff is referred to as 2m or IIm at a scale of 1:22.5. Number 2 scale has a gauge of 64mm.

you can drive with marklin on lgb rails
you can drive with marklin on lgb switch rigt away
some time's vou cannot drive with marklin on a lgb switch
to the left or the right

you CANNOT drive with lgb on marklin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
