IF there is no cover between where the slider springs and wheel axels you have to either put an insulation on axles of buy the AC Bogie. (about 6 to 9 euros). If fitting a Decoder check the Light wiring specially if it is using body as the earth return. Apart fromm that I do not think there is much else. being Hamo you already have a DC Motor. (Ps I blew a decoder as the Slider shorted out on the Axles.) Nev

The common problem is the loss of contact from the rail in touch with the insulated wheels, normally those with no gears. Hamos have a sort of pickup which takes current from one of the rails and has to be replaced by the central pickup shoe. Therefore, you loose ground from half the wheels. This is really important when you have isolated rails for track occupancy detection. In some cases, insulated wheels have to be replaced by non-insulated ones. Regarding the lights, just remove the circuit containing a couple diodes and connect the lamps in the "normal" way: gray to fwd and yellow to bkwd. Best regards from Buenos Aires,

Joined: 15/12/2003(UTC) Posts: 655 Location: Buenos Aires,		Hi Tom, you need a decoder which supports Motorola protocol/data format. 52610, 52612 are Motorola compatible. 61600 is both Motorola and mfx compatible. If you plan to migrate to CS, it could be a good (and more expensive) choice. 52690 is DCC only, not usable with any Márklin digital system. Best regards,
