Thanks, Mike! The combination of personal research and much detailed info received via this forum have allowed me to build a PBA file from the mid 60s-early 70s that is quite comprehensive.
I have very fond memories of many Bruxelles-Paris business trips with Etoile du Nord - the morning breakfast-car rides were as enjoyable a rail trip as I can remember
. Perhaps there is something similar today in Europe - certainly not in the USA [xx(].
My 41870/1 Inox car sets are waiting (im)patiently for the arrival of the SNCF CC40100 (39401).

Does anyone have any idea why 39401 has yet to ship? My dealer has no explanation. Perhaps Lutz can tell us something?

As you can see from my above pictures, neither my dealer nor Märklin had anything to explain (he got actually both models, the SNCF and the SNCB loco already long time ago).
PS: The only thing I had noticed was that the frame box ("Rahmenkasten", part #51) of the CC40108 was mounted wrong, it just needed to be turned by 180°.

Thanks Lutz and Stephen. And I did see your photos, Lutz. Now I'm wondering if anyone in the US has received their 39401.

Eurorailhobbies in BC was listing these items as new in stock over the past 14 days. I would assume that most dealers in N America have or will shortly be receiving their stock on this item.
