Hi all,

I need to have more distance betweed my Marklin boosters and my IB. Does anyone know if the cable between the booster and the IB can be made longer and, if so, how long? I only need about 3ft. The current cable is about 2ft.

An outsider.
I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

Because the shelf on which my boosters sit is just about a foot further away from the IB than the cable provided with the booster will cover.

I cannot see that there could be a problem from signal integrity point of view. If you make it very long (several meters) there might be a problem.

Hi Jack,all,
Just make sure that the cable does not near any wires that suppply power to the layout(red/brown).If they do you then you can shield it and ground it.

Prez and Kevin,

Thanks for the help. I just received a e-mail from a friend of mine who works for Uhlenbrock and he confirms what you are both saying, particularly the part about running near red, yellow or brown wires.
