Good site Zora. You should model the station and cottage etc.
First come over and do the walks etc. The station could be made from various pictures using plasticard etc.
Just the sort of thing I am sure you would be great at doing.

David
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Thank you Zora!

Very nice.

For some reason I've missed the films nor have I seen the television production.

Did any of the Dutch broadcasting companies show the television series in the past?

Kind regards
Guus

I only know that the EO broadcasted the 2000 version of the movie very late in the evening, despite it is a family film. That was in 2005 or 2006? About the 1970 version I simply don't know. Both versions are available on DVD (try www.amazon.co.uk ).
For many years it was a popular TV serie on BBC, before it was filmed in 1970. In one of the early seasons a Dutch girl played the part of Roberta (Anneke Willys, 1957 cast), see was later seen in Dr. Who.

Zora,
Thanks for the link.

I remember the 1970 version very well, as I took my daughters (then 6, 4 and 3) to see it at the cinema in 1976. My daughters now have children of their own, so I must purchase copies, perhaps on DVD.

I have not seen the 2000 version. The website presents it as a good production.

regards
Kimball

Yes indeed! MrsKelly found an NTSC format DVD of the 1970 movie in a "bargain bin" at a shopping centre. Quite a find!
Fun movie, too...
Cheers,
Damon
