I have an Uhlenbrock 76900 function decoder in my 4077 Steuerwagen (cab control car). f0 switches between white light and red lights depending on direction of travel. f1 switches the baggage compartment lighting. [:p]

Whenever I put my 3072 with HAMO and ESU Lokpilot v2.0 on the track and drive it, the UB decoder starts going funny: the baggage compartment light starts going on-off-on-off, and the decoder won't respond to any commands from the 6021. I have to press Stop+Go on the 6021 to get it working again. But as soon as the 3072 starts going, it's the same all over.

For info, the 3072 is fitted with the capacitor between the brushes as well as the coils between each brush and each motor feed. Also, the problem only occurs with this particular loco! Other locos leave the UB decoder alone.

Any help appreciated!

What adresses do you use? Possibly a change of the 76900 adress could help?

In my case :
- both decoders were set on adress 29. (Purely because they have to "cooperate" in the functioning of one train.

- The analog CV has been set so that analog is not supported.

Well, changing the 76900 to "Motora only" made no difference. So I'll try and fiddle with the Lokpilot instead...

Pal - do you mean CV50 - analog mode? It was set to 3 (default, meaning both AC analog and DC analog = on). I changed it to 0 (no analog mode), but it didn't change anything. As a matter of fact, neither did any of the other 5,000,000 CVs that I tried... [}:)][:(!][:(!]

I even tried the decoder in a different loco (oh the beauty of NEM plugs!), but still the same. [:(]

I've sent an email to ESU support.

EDIT: I just had another look at the two chokes between the motor wires and the brushes. According to the colour code, they are 1.9uH (the Marklin standard value, I think). However, on the ESU web site, they recommend 3.9uH. Uhlenbrock even recommen 10uH for their decoders. Would/could that make a difference, you think?
