The lamp for the light on the back on my 4411 Gedeckter Güterwagen is broke after 10 years of service.

Now I have to replace it and as usual first times are the hardest.

Any clue on how to replace it? Since I am quite 'clumsy' on such matters I am afraid to break it the wrong way....

Do I need to take of the whole brown upper body? Thus handeling the clamps on both ends right under the couplings?

Or can I take out the slider and the bulb with it? Thus kinda like the 7323 lighting?

Hi Gert-Jan,

Yes, to open the 4411 and replace the bulb you'll need to handle with the clamps on both ends. Remove the coupler first to have a clear vision on what you're doing. It can help to use a pincet. Usually they're pretty sturdy so you don't have to be too handy to get it done without breaking something. wink
The bulb is as far as I can remember indeed the same one as in the 7323 kit.

Hi Gert-Jan,

just proceed as stated by Sander.

1. Remove the couplings: (be careful with the screwdriver not to break off the shunting step!)

2. Clip off the body (as said - VERY carefully; again, a screwdriver might help in lifting the body):

3. Replace the bajonet bulb (#600150; as you can see it cannot NOT be replaced by taking out the contact shoe):

4. Clip everything together - done!

And if you have opened 4411, you might want to do this —>

Thank you all for the advise...clear pictures Lutz!
I hope it will open without breaking off [:I]

Actually, I did search for '4411' on the forum but got no hits...but putting a light-switch decoder in would be cewl!
But I think I will stick to fitting lamps for now biggrin
