Here is the user's manual of a 60832 and I cannot find any mention of a CV (I may be wrong but I asked for a search)

So, using a CS3, you don't need to bother about any CV but simply creating a new electromagnetic device, you may modify the duration field (factory set to 200 mS but increasable to 1,5 S.
Above a certain duration, the 60832 instead of sending a continuous ON command, sends rather burst of commands (like a machine gun) to avoid burning the encoupler and the decoder)

When driven manually, the uncoupler is active the whole time you push on its symbol on the track plan.
When driven by a control software (I use Rocrail), the software determines the duration of the activation

Truth is you don't need those CVs and Märklin received some complains about a too complicated decoder, so now they made it simple

Notice that the address field is circlked in red because there are TWO decouplers at the smae address (Bien sur = Of course)
DURATION: here 1500 mS just for show but I operate with 400mS

thank you for the detailed explanation and for the links you provided. So, despite in 60832 manual Marklin suggests:



both you and Marklin itself (in the video posted by bph) control uncoupler tracks without changing CV values, and I have no reason to doubt that it works.

I used an M84 to control two uncouplers because I was concerned about the possibility of burning out the uncoupler solenoid. But this was a long time ago and before the CS3 had an actual uncoupler icon. Then with an update Marklin addressed thhe lack of a functional icon and suddenly there was one. I believe for some reason there was one icon for c-track and another for LGB track. For some reason I ended up with an operational c-track icon for one uncoupler and a non-functonal LGB one for the second track. But I was in the process of changing my layout to learn about feedback tracks and the new layout had no uncoupler tracks. Still does not.
