My opinion is that Märklin has mounted the plow blades the wrong way around.

Picture of the originally mounted plow pointing toward the track, sometimes touching the middle of K switch.

When I turn it around, it looks more like Märklin's own product pictures.

They are positioned slightly higher, but this results in a more streamlined alignment.

Mounted by Märklin or perhaps your dealer?

Mine were not mounted, but part of the extra parts that are included in the plastic bags.

I mean that the plow blade is mounted the wrong way on the bracket from China to be assembled from the bag.

As you can see on the back of the blade, there is a height difference depending on how it is mounted. You also get a different angle on the blade, so it doesn't point straight down.

Ah, i see what you mean. And i think you are right. Cheked my locomotives and it was correct on the E 991, but wrong/swapped on the F 1200. Did the blade's come loose easily, when you swapped?

Thank you for confirming the E 991, as I haven't installed them on it yet ThumpUp

I used a scalpel to pry apart the blade and the mounting bracket, but I removed the entire piece from the model first.

The front behaves like a bus with overhangs; it's hard not to get the plow blade stuck in the middle of the K switches.
