I have a model from the Italian firm ACME which unfortunately was involved in an ”accident” some time ago, and now needs repair. I simply can’t fix one boggie to the engine. I have tried to connect with them several times in Italian on e-mail via their website contact info on http://www.acmetreni.it/en , but no success. Also, I couldn’t find any source of spare parts anywhere… I would be happy for a suggestion of a repair shop which ”knows ACME”, or maybe there is a general engine magician out there? |

Hi, You’re not the first—and likely not the last—I also try to get hold of spare parts for Mb, and it’s clear that neither customers nor dealers are getting any answers. I’ve added them to my warning list of unscrupulous players in the model railroading hobby. I received an explanation from Lippe, who stopped selling the brand, that they had problems with warranty obligations, a real warning bell Apparently, the same behavior as the Norwegian manufacturer that customers should bow down to Which model do you need parts for? |

I have also tried contacting some Italian retailers (if so language barrier) where I am a customer, but they haven't received any responses from A.C.M.E. This also applies to Swedish dealers when it comes to the Norwegian model manufacturer. It’s fun to attend "trade shows" and smile ( gentlemens scratching each other's backs), but when it comes to providing even a little service with decency, it's a complete failure. So be careful where you invest in the railway hobby. |

Here are my recommended contacts for parts/service for ACME models: My recommendation for models like the BLS Be 6/8, I would get in touch with Mr Eymann at Eyro or Mr Roder at Bahnorama. As two of the premier dealers of this brand in Switzerland, they are a good source for further information. There is no information on Repairs or Warranty Claims on the KML (distributor)'s website. Parts may be available from the distributor and some shops may do in-house repairs on items they sold. My LSM Vectron was repaired by Mr Eymann (LED issue). This may be a useful site: https://www.ricambiagomodel.it/ita/a.c.m.e.Regards Mike C
