Hi. Can anyone let me know where I can find a parts list for the Marklin 37786 ICE 3 BR 406 set? Also, when I run the set the second "engine" does not light at all, inside or the headlights. I am not using the correct transfomer I learned, so could that be it?

If the other coaches in that set are working normally the problem is probably not with the transformer. I would check the pins in the connector for that power car which is not working properly. Also make sure that the connector is mating securely with the coach it connects to.

BTW, I spent about 18 months at Ft. Meade myself, and welcome to this great forum!

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Thanks! I switched around the order of the coaches and the light came on briefly, so your tip on the connections is spot on. I'll clen them up a bit to see if that helps. I did order the correct transformer yesterday. I noticed this set ran very slowly with the older Marklin transformer I have (Marklin "Super) even though the difference in volatage is only 2 V.

Good, you are making progress!

I would also check the connector on the coach that the problem power car connects to. Cleaning is a good start and if you still have problems do continuity checks on the connector wiring. I don't have this model, but connectors of that type can get sloppy after repeated connects/disconnects, particularly if they have been mishandled in the past.
