IMG_2396_1727272171326.JPGIMG_2396_1727272171326.JPGHello.

I do house clear outs via online estate sale auctions in my local area 50 miles north of New York City.

I was recently hired to clear out a house full of valuable old things including a Marklin HR 742 G train set in the box.

As I have doing a little bit of research, I have realized that this train collection has an avid collector base.

I would love to post photos of it, but do not see how to attach images here.

I am instead adding a link to the auction.

Any insights into the value of the set and ideas of where to sell it or alert collectors (other than here obviously) would be appreciated.

Thank you!!!

Stephen

The auction is not live yet, but here is the link to this set

PS, this is my first time posting to this site, so I apologize if I am doing anything wrong... I tried to post the image of the locomotive but it wouldn't upload for some reason, sorry.

It seems to be missing a locomotive? What is the large black round motor for?

Hi Stephen, if you could add the missing photos please it would be helpful, some of us will not want to create yet another profle on a site we may not normally use but the photos are still of interest.

Many thanks

Steve

Hi there,

I will try again.

I've also posted to FB Marklin Trains Sales & Trades Group with a lot of photos.

Let's see if I get through this issue...

Also if you hit on the link and it asks you to login, just click on the word AuctionNinja and then if you go to the search key, and enter Marklin, you will see the entire listing.

I have put a large starting bid $, as I am still trying to figure out the value of this set.

There are some on the FB group that have been very generous in their advising me,,,

Please let me know if this photo actually has worked..
