Did bought MIBA 9/2024 and there was a test about Pikos new Vectron BR249.
One of the pictures show drive shafts made of plastic.
Is all of the Pikos locomotives models with plastic drive shafts??

Axles are axles Goofy. The gears are nylon, the axles are always metal. The worm gear is brass, the gear train axles metal. Some older Trix, etc. used brass gears.

Carden drives are plastic. Axles are metal. Maybe I dont understand the question as to what part of the loco we are looking at.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Many Märklin Hobby locos have plastic axles nowadays. This allows the same wheelsets to be used for Märklin and Trix.
I haven't seen plastic axles in Piko locos yet.
