Hi All,

I just replaced my old Ecos with a CS3 and have been familiarizing myself with the CS3. One thing I ran into while trying to setup turnouts is that my 3 way turnouts are not switching correctly, when I switch it to the right it goes left and vice versa, there is no problem with center. I'm using the Viessmann 5235 decoder in my 3 ways, I've been going through the CS3 to see if there's a way to change this behavior but haven't found anything, hoping someone can point me in the right direction to get this resolved.

Thanks

Mike

I seem to remember the same thing happening to me with a Marklin three way switch and can't remember how exactly I solved it but it was either reversing the wires to the switch or exchanging the assigned decoder addresses. It was simple though.

Hi Mike

The first thing coming to mind is to swap the switch connections between right and left. Not sure if the cable length allows it and I seem to remember it is not needed.
I have one of those decoder (way back before Märklin developped its own in-situ decoder) and it works perfectly well with a CS2 and since a few years with a CS3.
For Märklin CS3 , the 2 digital addresses must be consecutive and the left switch is the first address while the right one is the following one.
Sorry I can't help more
Cheers
Jean
