In the layout Construction chapters in Maerklin Magazine, the rib plans mention a number like 1260/0 or 46/30, probably depicting the ribs with resting points for baseboards. I am struggling to interpret these numbers into correct measurements.

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks
Gautam

Welcome biswag. It would help others to help by posting the magazin issue date. There are many ways to build a layout base.
It depends on the gradient ramps, and number of levels. The substrate isn't supporting a ton of weight, so the size and spacing of the cross beams is flexible. Many start with a flat solid base. Ramps, relief, mountains and tunnels can be built above.
After you have designed the track routes using planning software, you can plan for the plastering armature for relief and hills in relation to it. Also placement of scenic features and structures.

Hallo,
Not sure if you referred to the same thing but most likely it is the height of track on particular rib on multi level layout!

Thanks. I have attached an image from the plan which appeared in 06/2023 downloaded from Maerklin-magazin.de site and highlighted in red circles the numbers for which I need some clarification Image 12.03.2024 at 19.17.JPG

Hi Biswag,
Just looking at the attached image, it appears the numbers convey (distance from left hand edge)/(height above dashed line), expressed in mm.
That, as you suspected, would establish roadbed location.
Good luck with your project.

Thanks. It is logical and explains the numbers.
