Just gauging interest, is there interest do you think in Marklin K track flexible lengths with concrete sleepers!!!
Surely an easy tooling change. They do concrete track lengths in Z gauge!!!

Personally I think it would be a great addition to the K track line. However, I get the feeling that with the introduction of C track very little, if any, effort has been made to expand or re-tool the K track items. There still is the very problematic 3 way turnout that has the built in solenoids and a very touchy moveable section that does not do well for those of us running magnets for reed switches.

Hi
I suspect Märklin won't do much with K Track. Why? because it would need a complete redesign of the K-Track items (the present design is over 50 years so it shows). This would be a huge cost for Märklin, not so much for track pieces but for points, triple points, DSSs and crossings not to forget the point motors.
Right now C-Track outsells K-Track clearly, although Märklin is silent about it.

Peter Indeed, I have one of those three ways. I’m reluctant to use it because of the built in motors. Every one does seem to use C track these days. If I get the space in the future, my layout expansion might well be C track if there’s concrete sleepers available. Until then I’ll plan with k track as I like ballasting my own track. Your track looks very good! Relative to your question about using the Peco with the separately applied studs, I would say yes. If you look in the video below at minute 8, you can see concrete sleepers using track + separate studs. I remember long ago to see a video in teh same youtube channel where it was shown the construction of that portion of the track. From what I remember it was not Peco track, but Tillig. I couldn't find that video now. Miguel |

Your track looks very good! Relative to your question about using the Peco with the separately applied studs, I would say yes. I wouldn't use the Peco "studs", they look horrible. They are formed from a flat strip that 'wriggles' up and down between the sleepers. A much better way to do it would be to use Weichan-Walter studs. They supply them to use with Peco code 100 or Peco code 75. I don't know about the Peco concrete sleeper track, which I have a feeling is higher than code 75, but if it is code 75 then all should be good.

I posted a comment (a question, indeed!) in the Youtube video page asking what are the Flextrack and center studs used. You can see it there and I appear as @mbarreto64 (as a matter of fact in Youtube I use other ID, but seems something from here was passed). Let's wait for the answer. Miguel I watched the video, very nice trackwork. At 1:36 in the video he explains what he uses. The flextrack is from Zeitgeist Modelle and he adjusted the colour of the ties. According to posts on the Stummis forum, Zeitgeist have suspended operation for the time being (their website, zeitgeist-models.eu, is no longer active, closed shop?). He also states the pukos, centre studs, are Weichen-Walter as Alan noted. Cheers, Harold.

I've been following Micha since 2020. He had all C track before, but a few Clarence issues.So,he replaced it with scratch made bed, sleepers and rails.

Just checked and according to their website, Peco make 914 mm lengths of concrete sleeper flex track for OO/HO in both Code 100 (cat no SL-102) and Code 75 (cat no SL-102F).
