Hi fellow railroaders,

I recently bought the SNCF BB Série 67400 Strasbourg from REE Modèles (MB-167SAC), this is my first from this company.

I usually like to stick to Marklin but I was looking to expand my diesels from the SNCF. Opening the box, I found a few small plastic pieces needed to be re-attached to the model and buffers needed to be re-aligned.

Running it, I could hear a repetitive clicking sound in which then caused a short circuit as it went over a switch. At first, I thought the locomotive wasn’t sitting on the tracks properly but this wasn’t the case. I suspect that the issue is with the slider, on inspection it does sit straight but have found it is not as firm as the Marklin / Roco sliders (whether this has any relevance in terms of operation).

I’m contemplating fitting a Roco slider and then see how that goes

My question, has anyone experienced similar issues with REE Modèles?
If so, what have you found works best?

Regards,

Eddie
