BigGrin Well, I am finally getting ready to hook up my turntable 7686 to the digital controls 7687,
BUT Cursing
I can't find the cable that should be right there with it.
So my question is, how do I find a 6 pin cable that can be used?

Your help is very much appreciated.Cool

Hello
You should be able to connect 7686 to 7687 directly with the ribbon cable of 7686.

Mmmm, are you sure that your TT works in the first place ?
Anyway, IIRC the conector is the same of old s88. You can buy a cable at LDT and use it to rewire your TT.
Can check that tomorrow when i go back home.

Well, my memory was fine, a standard s88 connector will fit in the 7687 port.
You can get an old marklin s88 cable or get a new one here

available in several lenghts

Hi Jim
I may be totally wrong but a Märklin turntable 7286 (not 7686 which is an outdated decoder) has a flat cable soldered to it.
Here is the bottom of my 7286 TT with the colour assignments
7286 Cable colour assignment.png

So either you have a modified TT or you are dealing with a Fleischman version without a flat cable 6652 or the latest re-edition 665201.
Here is the user's manual file:///C:/Users/brucy/D...%20Betriebsanleitung.pdf
See page 2 for the wiring, and cable colours
So it is the exact same TT as for Märklin with 2 differences:
- flat cable for M£ärklin
- different resistor values (under the bridge) in series with the motor to cope with 14 or 16 VAC

I hope this helps
Here is my Märklin 7286 TT with a different decoder

Cheers
Jean

Thank you very much! You are absolutely correct. I do have a 7286, and the wires are soldered to the base with the 6 pin right there where it should be.
As a novice to this journey and creation, i very much appreciate those of you who know your marklin inside and out! Great video!
