Ordering Piko Parts

In an age where getting spare parts for a model train can be frustrating, time consuming, expensive, and a pain in the (expletive deleted). I would like to report just the opposite when dealing with Piko

I needed a spare part for my Piko Railjet control car.

I looked up the number of the US distributor and called that number. A human answered at once (no voicemail hell) and I gave him the order: the car number, the part number, my name and address, my credit card information, and phone number.

He then ordered the part. It was inexpensive and shipping was only $6.50.

Total time elapsed 6 minutes. Amazing! He said it would take 6 weeks, so we will see.

Couldn't agree more.

I bought a Porsche Taurus e loco while at the Porsche Museum in Germany (couldn't resist) and when I got home to the USA I opened it and the pantograph was broken in the (sealed) box. Piko USA had me sorted that week (literally).

Fantastic experience. I realize many on this forum won't be buying these items soon, but I've had equally good experience with Broadway Limited (manufacturer of US models)

I just picked up a bunch of Piko freight cars and I must say I am very impressed with them. I don't have much modern era cars so I took a shot. Great detail and quality!

I got my Piko BR 612 "Regioswinger way back in 2004, and it's great! Just DC analog, but has interior lighting.
