Hi everybody!

I've just bought the passenger car set with a control cab Märklin 43146. It consists of 3 "Thunder Boxes" cars and a passenger train baggage car with a cab. They were in service around the mid 1950s.

As they come without any indication of a route board, anyone knows any real routes and services they did?

I would also appreciate references and links to websites with related information.

Thank you in advance. Have all a nice day.

The green Donnerbuechsen push-pull train operated between Munich and Deisenhofen in 1957 and 1958.

Unlike the Maerklin example (class 74), the locomotive used in Munich was a class 38.10 steamer.

P.S.: Not to be mistaken for the red Donnerbuechsen push-pull train (Art.Nr. 26577) powered by a V 36.2 diesel locomotive, which operated 1950-1959 around Wuppertal and Cologne.

Interesting train, but I do not see Donnerbüchsen - there are three-axle Umbauwagen instead.
The Pwif is listed for '57 only, there is a four-axle coach listed for '58.

The Märklin coaches still have 3rd class, so they timeframe is 1956 and earlier. It asks for a loco with double headlights.

Tom

True, I was too much focusing on the exotic Pwif...

I forgot to mention the location: Nordenham, a town in Lower Saxony, Germany, located at the mouth (on the west bank) of the Weser river, opposite of the seaport city of Bremerhaven.

Thank you very much Alsterstreek and H0 (Tom) for your replys!

Very interesting your posts.

To Alsterstreek, it is great your link to the "Die Dhünntalbahn" website. It has a lot of interesting information.

But, it is possible to know the route of the E 935 train?

Greetings,

Francisco

Nordenham is on the (Bremen-)Hude-Nordenham-Blexen (ferry to Bremerhaven) railway line. After WW2 and until the early 1990s the timetable 221r applied.

I only found a 1961/1962 timetable which did not list this Eilzug anymore (but others):

I reckon it was a Bremen-Nordenham(-Blexen) connection.
