Hi fellows
I'm using Train Controller with the CS3+ and 3 60882 feedback modules

The CS3+ works OK, it detect the 3 modules and display the block occupancy in the screen when a train pass over each block, but the Train Controller only detect the 1st 60882 module.

I wrote to the software developer and they answered me this:
The modules in the bus which is directly connected to the CS3+ must be specified with the device ID of the CS3 as Address.
<<< Important: Address refers to the CAN device ID, not to the decoder number in the bus.>>>

where is the CAN ID in the CS3+ menu?

I couldn't find it

thanks in advance
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

You can see the UID of your CS3+, if you make a backup of your system.

Then, in the folder of your backup "work/config/dev/", there is a file named "devliste.cs2". This is a text file.

Inside, search for your CS3+ device (device.name=CS3-1), and in the ".uid" field you have in hexadecimal the UID of your CS3-GUI (Master). But in this file yoa also have the UID of the GFP3 inside of your CS3.

I hope this can help you. I do not know a better and faster way.

Greetings,

Francisco

Hi Francisco
thanks for the data
I found the GFP3 UID Hex number, but I guess is not what they are asking me.
I can't introduce Hex numbers, when I convert it to decimal it's a huge one, didn't work.

I guess I need the number that the CS3+ gives to the second (or next) S88

The Train Controller ask for Address and Input. In the first S88 they are 1 and the pin where the detector is plug, 1 to 16.

For the 2nd I try with 2 and the pin number and didn't work, so they told me to enter in the ADDRESS the CAN ID of the S88.

thanks in advance for your help

Hi Carlos,

I don´t know Train Controller. But if possible, try for the second and third S88s the same address as the first one (1, as I understand), and input 17-32 for the 16 pins of your second S88, and input 33-48 for the 16 pins of your third S88.

The 60882 feedback modules don't connect directly to the CAN Bus, so they can't have a CAN ID. Your three units must use the same CAN ID (that of your CS3 through they are connected). If Train Controller detects your first S88, the problem with your second and third S88 it is only with the identification of their pins, not with the detection of the S88s themselves. I do not know if I explain right.

Greetings,

Francisco
